Article 4 was mentioned at the time by governments that actually matter when it comes to NATO, that didn't happen either.

Either way SAM defences wouldn't be operational if Russia wasn't actively attacking Ukraine, they targeted areas near the Ukrainian/Polish border. Russia admitted this and there's obvious evidence of strikes.

Ukraine has the patriot system now so this has even less chance of happening again, assuming it was a failed interception in the first place... Feel free to speculate on that, unless you've got evidence to suggest otherwise?

They're not exactly manually fired. Interception time is based on detection and as far as I can tell there's no technical details of the missile that landed in Poland. Which makes sense since Ukraine is at war.

Who uses the SU-34? Only one nation and it begins with R.
Kind of difficult to cover up a 60ft hole in the middle of town. I don't think they had much choice but admit this error.

Question on this incident. Why was the bomb armed? I mean missiles and bombs have to be armed these days I believe, so seems odd if it was released by accident that it would have been armed as well.

The poster I was originally replying to was referring to Russia.

So, my reply about bombing themselves and invoking Article 5 was also in relation to Russia, in response to that poster, who also astutely pointed out that Russia isn't NATO. It was sarcastic.

Hope this clears THAT up.
