Well, strategically spreaking, of which Im far from an expert, seems like NK keeping Japan busy would effectively lock out a northern front.

Don't tell me Japan is one of those countries that gave up their guns and missiles.

I believe they were very limited in that aspect due to restrictions from the USA after WWII.

I'm not positive if they are still in effect or not, but that was my understanding.

Well Japan has increased of budget for military spending I'm not going to pinpoint it but rumor has it it may have doubled I'm on the phone at the moment and got to check to see if how true that statement is so perhaps somebody can beat me to it and post it cuz a lot of times I can't copy and paste the link I don't know it doesn't go on the clipboard or something like that.

Russia will keep killing in Ukraine until Unkraine is an empty husk because old and ill Putin has to prove to the world he can still get it up, and Biden will just say "please don't do it" and that's all.

The same phenomena is found with mass murders here inside the USA. If 3 people are killed in a minority area of Chicago, the media 100% ignores it. Even the Chicago media.

But let 3 people get killed at a Bank in Kentucky and it captivates the news for 24 hours...at least.

Nor am I, but I do read books on that stuff voraciously, and FWIW the CSIS.org website which I noticed today was USA Todays goto for analysis on the Pentagon leak stuff.

I'll look for the link, but what hit me was it sounded like complete government speak, downplaying and dismissing it so much so, I could see their analysis being close to what the gubmint is actually doing or thinking of doing

Im obviously not saying China and North Korea aren't allies, because they obviously are. The only reason China would be telling North Korea to shoot missiles toward and over Japan is to monitor their defensive responses.

It is a likely response to the Philippines' agreement with the US military, or just because nobody is paying attention to him.

I doubt XI told KIm to launch, I think it was more like Kim going look at what I can do like he has done easily a half dozen times if not more before.

but who knows, could easily see China putting Kim on a retainer just to be thier surrogate irritant.
