Absolutely using "Climate Initiatives" to make land grabs is just another way of cost cutting as the first step in longer range plans for financial
entities to begin green projects they know they can milk govt funding/tax credits. Projects BTW that run on for years, never get completed yet provide
a lucrative revenue stream.
Eminent Domain is usually invoked for public infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges. Unfortunately there were also plenty of times eminent
domain was used for companies to expand & profit from. Pipelines more recently have been used as the excuse to get fracking gas from rural areas to
market on the east coast by using eminent domain sanctioned by the state.
It would seem JP Morgan's CEO is confused as to what decade this is. Strong arm tactics are from yesteryear, but I guess he thought it was worth
floating the idea. Kinda wildly tone deaf since Climate Change is currently being redefined to a normal fluctuation instead of defined as Human
induced. Gotta love science!
