Can you do a 30 minute lower body HIIT workout twice a week, with only 1 day of rest in between?

I'm doing a lower body HIIT workout twice a week. What's recommended is you give yourself 2 or 3 days of rest in between the 2 workouts. Instead of exercising Monday and Thursday, can I do Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday? This is the workout I'm doing: youtu.be...

I’d try the workout, then see how you feel after a day of rest. If your not accustomed to working out regularly you might need a few extra days.

That would be a difficult routine to stick to, if you are taking days off, it can be far too easy to quit all together, and that is what a lot of people do.

Exercise to me is a daily ritual, which I have done since my early 20s, I am now 65 of age, and I never take a day off. I will work different parts of my body, such as one day I will work upper body, and the next day, I will work lower body. That will give my muscles the time to rest, and tone.

Sure you can.

I used to do a 60 minute full body HITT workout on Tues & Thurs

8 mile runs on Mon & Wed
3 miles of interval sprints on Fri

For years before I retired from the military.

Every one's body recovers at a different rate. But remember that you are in charge of your body, not the other way around.

It will do what you tell it to. Just know your limits.

It depends on what you are eating and your current state of health.

Dr. Anthony Chaffee talks about his experiences, where he can literally do massive workouts every single day, and have zero soreness, meaning, very fast recovery. But, he is pure, 100% carnivore. When you're eating a lot of carbs, you cannot do this. He even found that just adding a cup of coffee caused him to experience serious soreness from a single workout.

I would say it depends on you and the intensity of the workout you're talking about.

I currently do tkd practice 4 nights, sparring club on Monday and Friday after tkd, a core strength/cardio Tuesday am at 6, take Wednesday and the weekend off (usually). I did not start with that. I worked into it and gradually added things.

I would have died starting with that. I also drink electrolytes every day and eat high protein, high fat, low carb to support it.

Another thing you can look at is if you get into it and find out that some of it is a bit much to start out, there are often low impact/low intensity variants of a lot of exercises that you can use to take some pressure off and help you work into it.

I like to get paid if I do exercise. I think there should be a monetary reward for being sore. I worked construction work, worked a garden, and made firewood to get my exercise.

Even walking to work and to the store saves you money and is good exercise. Swimming in a lake is good exercise and also cleans your body at the same time.

Popping doesn't necessarily mean anything. Mine have gone off like gun shots since high school. I have concluded it must be their natural state.
