Do you mean satellites can take pictures and videos and stream them live as it happens? Where exactly can I watch it, or is there an archive of the last time an asteroid passed by and it's on video? Id love to see that.

Isn't that the way it usually goes? I know when ever there's an important celestial event in my area, invariably, it's always cloudy and I don't get to see it.

As to your reference to people always complaining everything is "Doom Porn." Well, it's better than their "Ostrich Apathy."
