The Philadelphia Department of Public Health announced Monday that a city program aims to provide pregnant residents with $1,000 monthly cash payments, with the goal of improving birth outcomes.
The Philly Joy Bank is a guaranteed income pilot of the Philadelphia Community Action Network, a collective impact stakeholder group focused on reducing racial disparities in infant mortality.

Here we go. What has always happens when you give people free money? They'll take it. Now there are going to be Woman getting pregnant so they can make $1000. Of course, the upside to this is that they won't be killing Human beings, the downside is that there will probably be new unwanted babies waiting for new parents.

We have a nationwide program here for after the child is born. $200 a month per child . It helps. Most house wives work part time so it's a good program.

Maybe they're getting ready to attempt to replace the population because of some serious declines about to happen. Who knows? I'm surprised the amount is so high to 'stay' pregnant. But the state will need to be able to care for the children after they're born. Sounds like if you want to start a family, Philly is the place to be.

I'm pro-life all the way, but welfare and child tax credits were heartwarming at one point too. This sounds like a good idea, but it won't be long before impoverished single moms are working on their 8th kid in 7 years just to keep the income rolling in. Are there any statutes to stop that from happening?
