Yeah shill may not be the correct word. But yes, using the clergy to achieve wealth/fame is nothing new indeed, which kind of speaks to my point that theologians have, from time to time, been full of sh*t (and preachy, and even spreading mis/disinfo, and yell-y, probably ) and have gotten honorary degrees.

I don't think too many people would use "I'd listen to that teenager, she's got an honourary theology degree from Finland" in their defense of what she yells about.

She has affected me by reinforcing the "climate change from CO2" narrative and inducing additional technically illiterate folk to buy into it, including the diverse (but completely incompetent) Biden Administration. Those idiots want to force battery powered vehicles on me even though there is not enough supporting infrastructure or power generation capacity. They want to stop selling gas stoves for some made up reason or another. They want to run the country on windmills and solar farms without regard to land use or waste production from expired windmills and solar cells, and the serious environmental impacts from mining and production of lithium and rare earth elements.
As I said, she is one of many puppets whose reward will be transitory fame and financial security when they pay her off. Maybe they'll give her the degree and throw in a Bishopric so she can move over into the Christendom hierarchy and stop annoying the world with her antics, such as the staged arrest at the coal mine by actors dressed as Polezei.

‘Embarrassing’: Faculty of Theology awards Greta Thunberg honorary doctorate

The University of Helsinki’s Faculty of Theology has awarded Greta Thunberg an honorary doctorate which is “exposing” and “embarrassing” for the climate activist, says Sky News contributor Daisy Cousens.

“You and I have speculated for a long time – global warming is sort of the new woke religion that has replaced any kind of theology,” Ms Cousens told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.

“This is a little bit exposing and a little bit embarrassing I think for Greta.

I was having a look at the list of these very eminent people with qualifications like Bishop Emeritus, Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land, a co-director of Cambridge Centre of Political Forum – lines and lines of qualifications.

“Then it just says Greta Thunberg – activist, and nothing else.”
