For a few moments I was speechless and couldn't believe what I was reading. I had to look on various sources and sites online so to make sure this piece of information was true but unfortunately... it's true!!! I can write essays on the whole subject of Greta Thunberg or the decision taken by the University of Helsinki to award her with a doctorate even if it's honorary.
I see what I can do, but probably will write a few extra paragraphs later on after the shock goes away...
For the time being, ladies and gentlemen, I present you
Dr Greta Thunberg!!!
It's about time someone recognized climate activism as the religion it really is.

You get all that from my simple point that you don't have to be religious to study Theology?
Which I made in reply to another poster.

Most, maybe, not all.
You do get that you don't need to study a subject to be awarded an Honorary Degree, yes?

You need no beliefs at all.
"While some students take theology in preparation for a career in the church, you don’t have to be religious to have an interest in religion. Likewise, you can be from a certain faith but study other beliefs. "
Theology is the study of religions.
Deranged right wing activists can study it too.
We were all taught that we can become anything we want in life .

I am shocked, this is a really new kind of stupid.
If she is a doctor, then most of us in here have doctorates in common sense.

"Our of curiosity what deranged right wing activist has received a doctorate without even finishing school first?"
Dunno. Never said they have. I said "study".
Go ahead, twist my words, again.
No, you do not need faith to study religions.
Note the "s".

She certainly has done something in her life .
Not saying I agree with her, but I thought you were against cancelling folk?
Oh, I forgot.
Except when they don't share your beliefs.
What does "definitely want" mean?
