Don't question why there are posters of sexual terms at your 7 year old's school or you may be reported to authorities and labeled a "security threat".

The mom posted on a discussion board asking why elementary school students were being invited to ask about sexual topics and that is a very valid question.

A mother of two in New Jersey has filed a lawsuit over an alleged smear campaign spearheaded by a military officer after she made a post on Facebook opposing a “polysexual” poster at her seven-year-old daughter's school.

The lawsuit, which the Thomas More Society filed on behalf of Angela Reading, alleges that North Hanover Township's police chief together with military personnel at the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst demanded the removal of her Facebook post, portrayed her as a “security threat” and reported her to several law enforcement agencies in an attempt to silence her.

“In it, she shared how she had attended an elementary school ‘math night' the previous evening with her seven-year-old daughter, who after reading LGBT-affirming posters in the school's entry, asked her mother what ‘polysexual' meant. Mrs. Reading merely questioned why elementary children were being invited to research topics of sexuality, noting that it is not in the state educational standards nor the board of education approved curriculum. Mrs. Reading did not name names or schools, and invited respectful debate.”

The good news is that the mother ended up going on Tucker Carlson's show and now Lt. Col. Christopher Schilling is being asked to resign from all around the country. He's getting the negative attention he deserves.

yeah, we all saw the patriot act working out in this way, didn't we...pesky terrorists.

I'm glad she spoke out and hope it nails these evil perverts. I work at an elementary and I look over things around the school when I see something that doesn't seem right. They have had a few programs that seemed off and I looked into it, but I have found nothing amiss so far.

I am likely the exception there as I am so conspiracy minded and have found what I thought was a lot like some MK Ultra stye mind control (nothing sexual or political), but that's just me being overly paranoid.

ETA: I have found a few books that were a lot like some of the PBS kids shows that distort history (like the Secret Museum), but I don't think that they were too political, just showcasing those important historic characters that weren't "white". On the other hand, I'm not seeing much in the way of George Washington, Ben Franklin or Abraham Lincoln type historic figures either. I'll be looking closer at that and may even put up a thread on it.

It appears to me that this lady made comments that didnt align with the wider community and suffered some backlash as a result. Because the majority in her community didnt agree with her opinions, she felt threatened and launched lawsuits.

Seems like a "karen" type situation to me.

That's interesting. I had begun to wonder if perhaps that wasn't the case. I've noticed an ever greater focus on the rewriting history from the viewpoint of those who hate whites. And that's an innacurate description. What they seem to be doing is re-writing history to highlight all the atrocities commited by white people through out the course of US history.

It's interesting to me because if you vilify the principle actors in the development of a country, you vilify it's very founding and undermine a nation''s legitimacy. It is beginning to look like they are creating anti-Americans.

So the wider community believes promoting any type of sexual behavior to seven year old children is okay?

The woman was falsely reported to the NJ State police and tge NJ dept of Homeland security over asking a question about a sexually provocative poster in her child’s school (porn if you will).

False reports are also prosecutable by law.

I think the issue is that after she received some push back she shifted from open discussion to more aggressive characterizations. That may have been the basis for reporting to the authorities. I dont know, just my own guess.

Yes, terrorist threats should be investigated, including the domestic ones that target communities of people. Quite a few mass shootings that had this as a motive.

Parents certainly have a challenging time to raise children in this environment. Individual families have varying definitions of educational awareness.

Sexual education has always been a contentious issue. That being said, if I read the situation correctly, this seems to be more of a matter of socio/cultural education rather than sexual education.

Nothing sexual should be discussed whatsoever in any detail until people are at puberty.

In order to teach LGBT+BBQ, you have to teach sex and sexuality because the entire topic relies on it. In this case, you are teaching it to pre-pubescent kids.

I will agree it part. I cant speak for how this community educates or conducts these activities as it relates to these other communities, but I have to believe that it curated appropriately for the audience.

It could easily be described as different communities of individuals with similar interests.
