So lately Ive been perusing the newzit.com site in the morning just checking headlines etc. This morning I accidentally hit the United Kingdom button. BOOM so much Royal news to wade through, Is that normal? or is it just because Charles' coronation is around the corner?

I got to ask what's the best source for serious UK news, my default has always been BBC or Sky News because the Mail, the Mirror, and the Sun seem to be Royal and/or entertainment paparazzi driven. The US does this too but it's almost like real news is being pushed to the back, the headlines all seem so sensationalistic, it's a little bit offputting.

at a quick glance, it looks like the Independent or the Telegraph are less entertainment and Royal driven

FROWN JEWELS King Charles orders troops to keep the noise down

KING Charles has complained that changing the guard is too noisy – and ordered troops to keep it down.

The elite household guards, who have protected royal palaces since 1660, were told “some volume control would be very much appreciated by those inside”
It is understood that the monarch “remarked” about the noisy guardsman because it distracted him from State business.

A leaked memo from King Charles’ equerry’s office stated: “His Majesty remarked the other day how loud the outgoing sentries were at St James's Palace in the morning.

“Full marks for vigour and volume, but please could you pass down to those on guard that Clarence House is a residence and so some volume control would be very much appreciated by those inside!”

Clarence House, in the grounds of St James's Palace, has long been Charles and Camilla’s London home.

I can imagine those ears could hear a mouse fart from 40 yards....

He reminds me of Monty Python for some reason.

Well, Queen Victoria always had a Scottish Piper playing outside her bedroom window to wake her up in the morning.
I love the bagpipes, but not as my early morning call to get me out of bed!
