A Christian school forfeited a girls’ basketball game in the state playoffs because their opponent had a high school boy on the squad. Now the Vermont Principals’ Association has banned the Christian school from future tournaments.

“We withdrew from the tournament because we believe playing against an opponent with a biological male jeopardizes the fairness of the game and the safety of our players. Allowing biological males to participate in women’s sports sets a bad precedent for the future of women’s sports in general,” Fogg stated.

But on Monday the Vermont Principals’ Association (VPA), which controls high school sports in the state, sent the Christian school a letter, which stated: “On March 13, 2023 VPA Executive Council met and determined that Mid-Vermont Christian’s forfeit (2/20/23) and corresponding rationale as shared in the Valley News of 2/25/23, violates VPA Policies which are aligned with Vermont state law. Specifically, the school’s actions do not meet the expectations of the VPA’s 1st and 2nd policy, Commitment to Racial, Gender-Fair, and Disability Awareness and Policy of Gender Identity, respectively. Thus, Mid-Vermont Christian school is ineligible to participate in VPA activities going forward.”

The Vermont girls high school basketball team that forfeited out of a tournament in February after refusing to play against a team with a transgender player has been declared ineligible to participate in future tournaments, the Vermont Principals' Association announced this week. The ban will apply to all sports.

"With feedback from membership at large, our Diversity Equity and Inclusion in Activities Committee, and our Activity Standards Committee, The VPA's Executive Council met today, March 13th, 2023 to discuss the relevant forfeiture," reads a statement from the VPA. "The result was a determination that policies have been violated at the school level, thus there is an immediate determination of ineligibility for Mid-Vermont Christian in VPA sanctioned activities and tournaments going forward."

Yup, that is exactly what has to happen. I get that it's not easy nor fair, but this is the hand they've been dealt, and this is the hand they have to play.

Totally agree that this only stops when the girls say NO ! The safety of the girls is a big concern, especially in contact sports. I was injured twice playing sports with men, unintentionally I believe and I was willingly playing, but in the heat of the game the men’s strength overpowered me. I remember being shocked at how powerfully a guy spiked a ball at the net I was trying to block playing volleyball, nothing I ever experienced playing on the girl’s team, he broke my finger ! Another time playing basketball, lol, I got pummeled trying to block a shot. Like I say we were playing for fun and these things happened, imagine playing a highly competitive game ! Nope, not fair or safe at all !

Would suggest to all the girls out there to simply show up and then walk away after stating they won't play against biological males. After most of the teams and girls are barred from playing in the league the wokies will get the message.

Good for them. Woke agenda needs to die.

They should all do this, but they won't.
The schools are run by the groomers, the children are brain washed... Many others will simply bow to the nonsense and it won't be long before we have entire teams of boys pretending to be girls just so they can win.

In my day , if a school's girls team was found to have a biological male , THEY would have been banned for years and heavy fines imposed as well.

The VPA can cite any policies that they want.
The bold part is literally collective punishment and is STRICTLY prohibited.
All other athletes in that school should be suing the VPA and everyone else involved in this decision IMMEDIATELY.

Sports don't last forever, and most people won't be able to play an organized sport after high school is over, and If I'm understanding this correctly, the VPA is robbing OTHER athletes of being able to compete and have fun AND potential scholarship opportunity.

Banning the girls team who's responsible is egregious enough already, but punishing others for the actions of few has no place in schools and is illegal.

That Christian school should reach out to other Christian schools or like minded school to create a new league that bans biological males from competing in female sports.

If all the biological males with mental illness wants to crate a league where they can pretend to be females athletes, go for it.

They need to hire the nastiest dirtiest legal team they can find that will fight this case to win it and sue anyone and everyone that is even remotely involved in this decision process - if a State Law is involved, challenge the Constitutionality, etc...
