Looks DO help you in making more money. Why do you think most 'star' actors/actresses are very atractive? Or the apeal of Micheal Jordan? Or you can look at waiters, waitresses, and bartenders. The atractive ones generally get tipped much better.

I can confirm that that theory is true. I am short and ugly and very poor.
So therefore I'm going to start a lawsuit against everybody for lifelong height discrimination.
But seriously it is true. Most ppl don't notice it, but when you are a short man you definitely get treated with less respect.
We live in a society where the majority of men (particularly) only respect other men who they think can kick their ass.
Short ppl have to work a lot harder to prove themselves than tall ppl.
Short ppl are less likely to get promoted than tall ppl.
Short ppl have a harder time making friends.
If you don't believe me pay attention to the short ppl you know...

I know a lot of short people, and yeah, I make fun of em a lot. It's a hate-hate relationship, they call me stupid/ugly (both false!).

It's a sad truth. But, I've noticed this, a person of shorter stature can sometimes feel the pressure a little more and are driven to success and succeed more. Two of my best friends, one's 6'6" and he's the most laid back guy I know, he'll never go anywhere but happy. The other is 5'7" and he's so unbelievable wound-up it's unbelievable!

IMHO to fit in with the overall population, ideally, a woman should be between 5'5'' to 5'8" tall and a man should be between 6' to 6'2" tall.

The further you venture from these ideal norms, you become somewhat freakish (especially if you don't have celebrity status to protect you).

Once you fit in, then to be outstanding you need beauty 1st then smarts.

Questor's post reminds me of a related issue.

It's often perceived as 'wrong' when the woman is taller than the man. People are turned off by it. It seems that traying from your 'norm' in one direction is worse than the other. Short men, tall women. "Oh, he's a wuss, Oh she's a beast."

This is even more ignorant and even more upsetting, I feel. More rampant and more obvious.
