Lol! They'd do it from afar with a dazzling spectacle of aerial firepower before they'd ever send their "sons and daughters" to be "boots on the ground".

As soon as NATO forces set foot in Ukraine, it's a full fledged war. US and Russia would be dog fighting in Alaska and elsewhere. That's not going to happen and I don't think Zelensky is naive enough to say that. He might have been misunderstood as that, but thats about it. If he were that delusional, he wouldn't have made it this far because he knows all of the nations giving him guns and money are against stepping foot in his country. That's why they're sending him a million guns and money has no bounds.

However, he was talking about a hypothetical situation in which if Ukraine loses the war against Russia, that would lead to a broader conflict resulting in Americans being pulled into fighting.
What's False

Zelenskyy did not declare that the U.S. "will" definitively send soldiers to fight in or die for Ukraine's war as numerous posts claim. His words were taken entirely out of context and misrepresented.

1. You need to try to be nice to people you don't agree with.
2. Most people would reasonably think "troops on the ground" meant significant military involvement, with active fighting, and all that. Having a handful of personnel doing non-combat stuff, would not be that.
3. The original clip on the OP has been debunked, so all the shock/horror on this discussion is misplaced. If the whole clip was shown, it would have been seen Zelensky was not referring to "troops on the ground in Ukraine". Context matters, as does the propensity of people to edit material for dishonest purposes, and the gullibility of people to believe such things without inquiry.

The video of Z making that statement was just a slice of the speech. I can’t stand Z-man at all , but take your post down , because it is not true in context & has been debunked completely.
