Then James made some foolish decisions board-wise. Or does a board form itself? Can board members decide who joins the board? If so, then it naturally just morphs into a monster.

The problem with that strategy is that I doubt that the people who pulled off the coup care if PV crashes. If they did they wouldn't have done what they did. They fear PV and want to see it die, I believe.
