The hits keep on coming. The "death by a thousand cuts" mentality is hard at work. It's telling that the current practices are low-tech in mobility but hi-tech in capability. That's a major "tell" regarding what a 1:1 confrontation with China would potentially look like.

From the linked article:

Days after a US fighter jet shot down an alleged Chinese spy balloon that had entered American airspace after flying over Canada, a new report has revealed that the Canadian military got hold of a Chinese monitoring buoy in the Arctic Ocean.

Retired lieutenant-general Michael Day said the Chinese buoys would likely have been used to monitor U.S. nuclear submarine traffic in the Arctic, and for mapping seabeds and ice thickness. Beijing is eyeing shipping through northern waters, which are becoming more navigable…

Chinese Arctic Buouy

Chinese Arctic Buouy

Global warming pays off more navigable waterways and less time on the ocean, thats a helluva saving distance wise even if you could only do this certain months of the year

It is also pertinent to note that as climate change continues to melt Arctic glaciers and gives way to more waterways being available for navigation, several countries, including China, Russia, and the United States, are expanding their presence there.

As Lieutenant-general Day noted, travel through the Arctic would be significantly shorter for Chinese ships than navigating around the southern tip of South America.

Are they going to show the Chinese underground boring machines next? I saw that in a movie from the 50s I think.

First balloons, now a bouy?

It's like we are being invaded....

Or

This is par for the course, and the establishment is taking advantage of the situation to gaslight people into accepting another conflict.

Everyone is always spying on everyone. Even in peace time. Rest assured for every Chinese balloon or bouy the American government is doing the same back. Gotta justify a trillion dollar military budget somehow.

That somehow is by labeling every lost balloon or bouy as an existential threat to our very existence then an excuse to inflate our government and military.

A something-or-other metal 'ball' washed up on a Japanese beach recently. I think all countries are invading each other now....

What? Did Trudeau watch the movie Battleship.
Clever boy…
That ball on the Japanese beach looks like a floatation buoy for a dredge line.
Any harbors or channels being deepened in the area?

Not sure what is going on, but there is DEFINITELY something fishy here.

The Chinese PLA uses ballons and buoys to monitor western areas/military - OK, I can believe that.
Western defence agencies fighting the Chinese PLA - I can believe that too

BUT !!!!

How come the US government DOD and HHS FUNDED the Wuhan Institute of virology (which was built by the French, apparently)
This is a de-facto bioweapons lab !

That same DoD also supposedly bans supplying certain American microchips to China, but conversely supplies American taxpayer funds for DEADLY viral reasearch to China ??????????????????

Balloons and Buoys - NOT OK
Deadly viral research - OK ????

WTF ?! ??

Can't believe I am saying this, but almost seems if the "conflict" with China is a con for the populace of the US and China, with the leaders of both countries secretely colluding, on the SAME side....

I bet that's exactly what it is.

I'll trust your keen eye of experience over the MSM or government.

I agree with you on this one…

Every few years we would see a batch of stories about fighters escorting bombers out of air space all around the world. It’s pretty standard. So are clandestine spies, satellites, light cyber intrusions, experimental low impact aircraft…. Ect.

Im not saying that stuff is nothing, but it’s pretty standard.

The question is whether the media is milking a news cycle or it’s some concerted effort to condition the American people.

My guess is the former, but I can’t say that it’s more than just a guess.

I am trying very hard to refuse the idea that Canada has something to do with this. (No, not Canadian people - the Canadian government though...)

I know you all will figure out what I mean when I say that... so I won't have to spell it out. I'd rather not, its' seems an evil thought ... Ok, a hint. Thes events call forth the idea that the Canadian elite leadership is somehow working "with" China, somehow facilitating all this "sudden activity" always along the Canadian borders...

But to what end, I wonder?

It reminds me of this piece I read a few days ago:

Trudeau Libs Gaslight Canadians On Foreign Interference (Except When It Actually Happens)

Where in I read the following statement that this thread lead me to think of....

(The PM stopped short of seizing the bank accounts of Chinese nationals with ties to Beijing. )

No, no, I want you to elaborate, if you will.

You reeled me in and then released me into the cold water again...

I have no doubt our little man-boy PM would approve of something like this, I mean, he actually looks up to and aspires to be more like China.

Very interested in your theory, and what the motive would be?

He had no problem turning on his own citizens, arresting them and seizing their bank accounts...so this wouldn't surprise me...

Will we ever know what “the buoys” really are?
I’ve seen many strange things a-drift at sea.
We had a huge buoy pass us against the tide once.
Turned out a whale was playing with it.
As for cornPop………meh, he’s a tool, a simple tool for TPTB.

Careful.
I’d hate to be responsible for the “Clique” kicking you out of their sandbox here.
