We are all familiar with St. Jude Research hospital, and the month of March is rapidly approaching, so the monthly fundraiser is the knitting challenge on facebook:

Knitting challenge facebook group

It sounds fun and for a good cause of course. unfortunately, I cant participate living out of the country, but i am making small crochet bears for the local cancer hospital.

I also want to show off my projects here, but i forgot how to do inline photos.

Happy knitting/hooking!

The wife knits stuff and said she knows about the St. Jude's knitting challenge but is not interested in doing that. She just knits stuff for the kids and their families for Christmas presents and a few things for a few friends. She goes to a knitting social gathering usually once a week to learn about all the rumors going around town...It seems a lot more reliable than the internet and it is usually is faster to find out what is happening from her friends from that.

Knit for peace!

A seven-mile pink scarf knitted by more than 5,000 people from around Britain and beyond was unfurled between the two Berkshire atomic bomb factories on Saturday.

The peace-knitters were calling on Parliament not to renew the Trident nuclear weapons system . . .

The...what? People actually do crochet & such challenges?

I hardly have enough time to finish active projects I already have going, I definitely don't need to be doing "challenges" to add to that half-finished rotation.

My thoughts exactly. And I am trying to learn how to spin on a new wheel. Not making much progress.

What type of wheel? Has it been used before? Sometimes they need some adjustment.

I am in the middle of a blanket, but I am busy enough that adding a challenge to my day would just be overload.
