Could the Chinese have been attempting a nuclear / EMP attack with balloons over the weekend

No they were not. Why exactly would they want a full nuclear retaliation?

Having the day to think about the situation, I've decided that the Chinese started it for whatever reason.

As the news got around, the US intel folks decided that the situation was an excellent vehicle to use to get American people solidly thinking about aliens in some fashion. The simple truth is that since that fateful day in 1947 when "flying saucers" were first recognized as unusual aerial vehicles not of our making, the whole of the US population has gotten well into sci-fi and aliens, good and bad. But little serious effort has been made to educate the public on where we stand as a Third World world when it comes to meeting other lifeforms, especially when they come here before we can even get our butts elsewhere in the galaxy.

So they took the Chinese plot and expanded on it to make it a public relations tool of the first order. (Something on the order of selling us on the idea of a bad virus.) How inexpensive! Let the media do all of the work as military officer after military officer, behind federal officials, strut their stuff while explaining nothing to the media of any substance.

That is why Joe is keeping low in this deal, it all is a hoax brought to you by the three letter agencies. (Sorta reminds you of selling the idea of whores peeing on a President's bed, huh?

So before I lose count, is that three hoaxes in recent memory?

Oh, some of you will want to call the whole UFO history as another hoax. Don't go there unless you have read many books on the topic and followed along on the general matter. UFOs are real alien craft. Exactly why we are experiencing the current show.

Likely only if this was a dry run and only to test the air space and if they have access using the weather for such an attempt, likely they will now not do so but testing a possible opponent for a weakness is likely one of the motivations behind this.

However China has space capability and can launch it's own satellites including nuclear armed ones.

This method though could be used to release a pathogen such as the Wuhan labs virus but a perfected version in order to soften up the US and weaken it in a way that affects it economy rather than an outright military strike BUY once again a human carrier or even a submarine mission to release it on land would make this an overly complicated and takes too long as strategic matters and decisions change on the fly method to apply such an action.

Most likely it was what the Chinese claimed BUT it could also have been a spying mission as the US suspects, both are the most viable and reasonable explanations.

That said I myself mentioned the idea of possible EMP delivery on an earlier thread but in hindsight it would not be tactically useful with the speed of modern warfare as the delivery to wait for it to float over the US and into a suitable location to deliver such a payload renders it impractical in modern terms.

But never say never, the guy that wrote the art of war was of course an ancient Chinese guy.

Appear weak when you are strong, appear strong when you are weak and all that stuff, hit them were they do not expect it, surprise attack etc.

China knows that it could not win such a war and the US believes it would not as well so no one in their right mind actually wants one BUT let's watch this space as things change, the Chinese are developing more up to date technology's and the Russians are currently distracting the west from other potential perceived threats as North Korea is now able to cosy up to Russia again and gain more up to date technology's as well if not quite as up to date as the US or NATO have and Iran is being suspiciously quiet though it does have some internal problems at the moment and is as usually committing human right's abuses against it's own people.

Meanwhile there are any number of other potential flash points around the world and it is possible that any one of those could trigger an escalation and act as a flash point for a larger conflict.

But at the moment most developed and developing nations in the world including China, Russia and of course NATO country's have falling birth rates and a potential nation ending crisis without the need to blow one another up, they have forgotten it seems that a nation is only as strong as it's people and instead in the west our leaders have been chasing after birth rate damaging policy's while in the east Russia has been going through the old sex for pleasure and abortions for lifestyle corruption that destroyed our birth rates and in China they are now biting the bitter poison cake of the one child policy's era's legacy and the damage that has caused them, only India may still continue to grow and China is pretty scared of them as India will sound out populate them and may grow stronger over time, China may find itself having to hire Indian migrant workers just to keep itself afloat within the next forty or so years.

There are actually far more serious issues than national pride to deal with, the future of the worlds nations is at stake unless birth rates are grow back to a sustainable level, economically as well without a growing population economy's will stagnate and then decline.

The only nation that has the infrastructure to potential turn around there falling birth rate currently is China but so far they have not yet managed to do so, in the west it would require help for struggling family's, support by the state for those children which is actually a very wise investment in the future of those nations, a nations future is it's children after all and so a nation should always invest in them though economic right wingers and woke ultra left wingers (and the BROTHERHOOD Secularists whom have been working toward this for century's now) would rather spend the money on other things, the right on tax breaks for the rich and corporations and the left on gay right's more abortion clinic's to murder yet more unborn children and corrupting what few children we do have with inappropriate sexual material in schools.

We are already in a war in the west, one being orchestrated against Christian and common sense morality, against our own people to break down our society for some sick twisted plot by the elite and the cult they are members of and one in which the economic right wingers greedy as they are will do nothing to stop because they are also part of the plot and it serves them as well.

Our people will continue to lose until they turn back to god and tell those pricks with there checkerboard floors to go and throw themselves down the nearest bottomless well were they belong (I mean those in the know the majority are just people that thought they were joining a social club and most still think that is all it is without realizing the deeper corruption within that cult).

It was all prophesied in the past.

I wouldn't be surprised if the first balloon was the mothership for the smaller objects that were found. The object over Lake Huron had strings that were dangling. Those strings may have attached it to the first balloon which was remotely cut free or dropped at some point before they were spotted and eventually ferried over to Lake Huron, Yukon, and Alaska.

It's far-fetched, but stranger things have happened.

There are only a couple of balloons capable of carrying enough weight to carry an EMP or nuclear device. Most are only capable of carrying a few pounds. Nowhere near what a nuclear warhead or EMP device would weigh.

The White House has now dampened speculation they were similar to the high-altitude balloon shot down on 4 February.

"The intelligence community is considering as a leading explanation that these could just be balloons tied to some commercial or benign purpose," said national security spokesman John Kirby.

"We don't see anything that points right now to being part of the PRC [China] spy balloon programme."

Yep. And we are SOOOOOO stupid. Take the lights, heat, air conditioning, stores, banks, gas stations, teens phones ..POOF! in an instant...no contacting friends, relatives, your kids, crowds wandering our streets...

Bitcoin and Gold...don't worry...nowhere to cash it, and you can't run with gold.....

Our biggest fault...is not realizing all our tech, communications, videos, phones, computers, traffic lights etc etc etc etc etc...

CAN BE GONE IN AN INSTANT "POOF". A plastic or mylar balloon w emp function....could wipe us out.

And yet we don't care. Seen the new phone that folds in half? Wow! (See, were doomed...especially teens growing up w 'convienences' they don't know how to live without...)

And yet? Our end-of-world can be had with a $1 light switch (metaphor but it can).
