True, Oldcarpy should not be the topic of this thread. Even if I completely disagree with his ideals and I think these are taking him to the bottom of
the pit, I still think that he has the right to believe whatever he wants.
But to you, Itisnowagain, do you know that scene in The Hobbit (The battle of the 5 armies), when King Thranduil asks Bard if he tried to reason with
the dwarves? And that this was pointless, because dwarves only understand one thing (the sword). It's the same with the Royal-loving British. You'll
never change their mind, because their pride as human beings is connected to this. If they accept otherwise, their whole family history crumbles down,
and they can't accept that. They all have a grandfather or great-grandfather who died defending the crown. I know it because I lived it many times.
When Tolkien created the dwarves, he created them thinking of the British that love the Royals (that's why the dwarves have Kings and Princes and
follow them), while the Hobbits had no king (they were the Irish, living in the West).
