OTTAWA/WASHINGTON, Feb 12 (Reuters) - The U.S. military brought down a flying object over Lake Huron near the U.S.-Canada border, the fourth such interception by American fighters this month, a Michigan congressman said.
U.S. Representative Jack Bergman said on Twitter the U.S. military had "decommissioned another 'object' over Lake Huron. I appreciate the decisive action by our fighter pilots."

Of course, but the comment that was in reply to was saying maybe they were using ATC frequencies to prevent us from jamming it. There are multiple ATC frequencies even in a given area, and they can use all three to transmit on, as long as the aircraft has all three. Probably 99% of all aircraft operate two of the three.

Well, this is interesting. I say "pop" it.
Also assuming its a "spy balloon", and likely so if its over Montana, could take a peak at the missile fields. But I would think China can do that with satellites.
Of course, if they wanted to invade Tiawan, nothing like popping a small, high altitude nuke for a little EMP effect before the operation starts; just to add to the confusion.
