The beginning of the next month... so April. The winner from this themed contest gets to choose the theme for following contest.

Voting is now officially over with, so please resist the urge to star or flag this month's Contest Stories. Give us awhile and we should have the winners confirmed by staff hopefully within one week from now. Of course nothing is to stop you from reading any of the many submitted stories that the membership creates and presents for us regularly to enjoy.

This was a glorious group of stories. I am sorry that I hadn't the time to comment on all of the 18 entries, but I did have time to read and flag/star them. Someday my life will be such that I can contribute to the Short Story Contests. I miss it.

A few years ago I made an off-hand comment that nobody comes to ATS for the short stories.

I can honestly say that out of all the forums on ATS, Short stories has become a firm favorite for me and has done so much to give me back the love of writing I had when I was young.

And that is mostly due to the writers on this forum which inspired me to join in.

I am honored to count myself among you.

Our many thanks for participating in our latest Short Story Contest entitled "Free Your Imagination". None of you let us down either on the theme. You prove to not only staff but the entire membership that you have some 'Mighty Fine Creative Minds'.

And speaking of creative we have two new Writer's in the group. Please help me in congratulating and welcoming our newest ATS Writers: 19Bones79 and Moon68.

Just a quick note to remind you that the new themed Contest begins in about 5 days from this posting date. Although it will begin on April The First, be assured that this Contest isn't a prank.
