Apollo 18-20

No crews were officially assigned to the cancelled missions. The normal crew rotation had the backup crew for a mission moving up to become the prime flight crew three missions later. Based on that scenario, the crews for the cancelled missions would have been:

Apollo 18
Richard Gordon, Commander
Vance Brand, Command Module Pilot
Harrison Schmitt, Lunar Module Pilot

Apollo 19
Fred Haise, Commander
William Pogue, Command Module Pilot
Gerald Carr, Lunar Module Pilot

Apollo 20
Charles Conrad, Commander
Paul Weitz, Command Module Pilot
Jack Lousma, Lunar Module Pilot

It was years before they had Space Academy. They had an astronaut training LEM on display so you could actually touch it and get in the flight position. I would estimate about 3/4 the room of a VW Beetle in it. Counting their spacesuits being worn inside a LEM, there is no way to get a third person in there. There was not even room for seates. They were flown on your knees.

Biggest questions:

How did they build the hardware.

How did they launch without anyone seeing the rockets go up.

The remaining Apollo hardware was used for Skylab and the Apollo Soyuz mission. There are some rockets in museums and think that is because they were not cleared for flight due to technical problems with them. These are still on the ground. The rest of the hardware that went up are accounted for by the hardware produced.

As far as I know, Cape Canaveral was the only launch pad big enough for the Apollo series rockets. Thousands if not tens of thousands would have witnessed any launch from the Florida coast.
The fact it is said to launch in the dead of night would make it more visible. People would notice a sudden sunrise occuring for hundreds of miles away. They are that bright. The noise would wake up anyone for around 50 miles of the launch.

So, how would they get around these problems?

Edit: The ending explanation is the only answer.

I have been inside a training LEM at Huntsville, Alabama. There was no room for a folding table or a third person in the LEM.

Also, how does a plant eat kevlar, Teflon, aluminum, titanium, etc.. as the space suits were supposedly eaten along with the Apollo 18 astronauts.

Definitely a hoax.

It's explained that it is a scam, the subject has been done to death in the past on ATS but you bring up some interesting points.

Well it turns out that most rocket launches at that time were classified military missions, some may have been manned but most were probably to put payloads into space for military applications.

Did the military have any Saturn 5's, not sure but they definitely had access if they wanted to use them and being the US there were two separate arms of the military that made rocket launches the Air Force and the Navy.

They could have covered it up if they had wanted to of that there is no doubt but while this was the best conspiracy for it's time it was actually too good to be true though you know that object is perhaps very real, maybe it's a terrain feature as some claim or maybe there really is a structure there.

There was even some claim that this was pure disinformation to distract from research into the real object or feature that others believed was indeed a huge alien craft or perhaps fallen tower on the moon.

Unfortunately the video search algorithm is finding is now swamped by the fake apollo 20 story while the videos on the real feature are now lost to the bottom of the search which means you can't find them as the algorithm only shows so results.

Sadly a lot of the pictures are now lost in these older threads but?.
www.abovetopsecret.com...
www.abovetopsecret.com...

The feature is real but what it is, well the close ups that show a craft with craters on it from the apollo 20 scam are almost definitely fake, the longer range blurry image of a surface feature is a genuine NASA lunar image.

But the French Artist could, just could also himself be disinformation though to my mind those images of the object showing craters and strange lines on the surface of the object don't look much like the longer range blurry image that is a genuine NASA image so I hazard that they are indeed fake, more modern NASA images while having higher resolution and definition can not be used to categorically deny the older images though as NASA and of course computer obfuscation of artifacts and features they don't want you to see has come a very long way from the old air brush monkey's.

And there are rumours that NASA has actually been involved in some covering up of real artifacts though was this ancient or more modern before they blew it up by crashing a rocket into it.

I have heard so many iterations of these alleged missions they all lost credibility.

There was one called "The Orange Mission" where they found an Onion Woman in an abandoned Stargate Altantis type city on the far side.

There's always been speculation about weird things happening. Another one I heard was during one of the last Apollo Missions a voice came on when they were on the far side and said, "Okay, You've seen it, you don't need to.come back here anymore".

I honestly think regardless of the truth of that there is some truth to them running out of things to do there.

Source: Moon > AS15-P-9625 and AS15-P-9630 The so called "Apollo 20 Ship" by Keith Laney

(At the link above….your able to zoom out and zoom in)

An entire lunar hoax fantasy and dis-informational trap has surrounded one man's misinterpretation of an item seen on a much lower res copy of these images. You can pretty readily see it zoomed out- a cylindrical light toned object appears to be sticking out of a depression, looking very much like a submarine or similar spacecraft lying there. I took the care to use raw scans of the original spacecraft films to show this thing for what it is- an interesting optical illusion. I don't say that lightly. The Itek panoramic camera took excellent submeter resolution images, especially when the item being captured was near center frame- this item was. On both photos it shows up on subframe 4, which is center of the filmstrip. I invite you to see this optical illusion yourself by first viewing the item zoomed out, then slowly zooming in. At full res you can watch as the 'crisp edges from far away' look of a ship disappears into the intricate surface details of a hill with shaded areas on it beside a small ridge. it's a trick of distance on a shaded hilly surface of various albedo. Sure looks like a ship! But no, not here. There is no sign of image tampering whatsoever, this image is clean, clear and a high example of Apollo era imaging technology, we can only now rival it with LROC

It’s this…….

Not this….

That’s pitiful.

There a whole mythology around these supposed moon and mars pictures that are supposed to be pyramids, buildings, huge head stones etc. And conspiracy theorists from Dave Icke to Ancient Alien “theorists” say the moon is hollow and aliens made it to monitor us.

en.wikipedia.org...

The Hollow Moon hypothesis and the closely related Spaceship Moon hypothesis propose that Earth's Moon is either wholly hollow or otherwise contains a substantial interior space. No scientific evidence exists to support the idea; seismic observations and other data collected since spacecraft began to orbit or land on the Moon indicate that it has a thin crust, extensive mantle and small, dense core, although overall it is much less dense than Earth.
The first publication to mention a hollow Moon was H. G. Wells' 1901 novel The First Men in the Moon. In 1970, two Soviet authors published a short piece in the popular press speculating that the Moon might be "the Creation of Alien Intelligence". Since the late 1970s, the hypothesis has been endorsed by conspiracy theorists like Jim Marrs and David Icke.

This story is in the same vein as those conspiracies.

The creator of this hoax is worse because it's a conscious hoax and deception, not just a wild theory.

One defence of him is that he is an Artist?.

Since the invention of Art it has been about the illusion of making an image that we can interpret as something else.

The invention of Perspective in art was at the time pretty much the 3d of it's day.

Then impressionism came and spoiled it with grown men and woman trying to paint like three year old's and idiots with more money than sense lauding them and buying up there ridiculous heresy's against high art.

It is harmful there is no denying that but it is in a tradition of French art and sensationalism, that so many of us fell for it is a testament to the artistic success of this guy at least on this one project.

It is also possible that as people have a right to believe something his art was either a critique of the UFO phenomena or had a hidden political meaning that is very French so possibly quite obscure to we in the English speaking world.

A mad man but if taken as art I like it and have to laugh at how it fooled so many, this out staged many a magicians trick's and has to stand alongside the Alien Autopsy video as sensationalist but also harmful to the subject but hey if a subject can not take critique then perhaps the problem is with the subject rather than the critic in this case, it is good to challenge beliefs as it tests them, re-affirms them for believers and re-affirms the scepticism of the sceptic but overall while this swamped the original belief that there may be something there by many based on older photos of that region with apollo twenty crap it nevertheless did no real harm to this subject in general just distracted the public which can be both good and bad, bad in that without public interest obtaining data can be much harder and of course good in that there are some true believers that will stoop to creating there own fakes in order to win arguments.

For myself I keep an open mind, not too open mind but not too shut either, the universe is a big place and we are very small so it is pretty arrogant to suggest we know.

Was this guy an idiot for doing this, no but I don't agree with him any more than I agree with any other fakery passing itself off for however short a time as the truth.

I have like I say though to smile at the egg on so many people's faces and the success of his art on this occasion (and as well as an artist he turn's out to be a bloody good science fiction writer).

Just an FYI…..

I plugged in the coordinates

-18.752841, 117.779283 into JPL’s Moon Trek (JPL requires that the Lat goes before the Lon)

And the results for the resolution that they used….still does not show a spacecraft…but instead shows shadows and terrain typical of the surrounding topography.

You could probably have made a speculated hypothetical case for an association of the visit of Omuamua and with a purported spacecraft on the moon based on overall cylindrical shaping…etc.

However, Omuamua was quite some distance from earth at its closest distance to earth…

On the outward leg of its journey through the Solar System, ʻOumuamua passed beyond the orbit of Earth on 14 October with a closest approach distance of approximately 0.1618 AU (24,200,000 km; 15,040,000 mi) from Earth.

And what is purported to be a spacecraft on the moon…..is actually all about topography and terrain shapes and shadows judging from high resolution images by other countries like China…besides the U.S.

Depends on your definition of strange. Unusual? Sure. Amazing? All the time. Inexplicable? Never, at least not in the sense of 'this could only be aliens at work'. The Universe is full of wonders, I don't need fairy dust to improve it
