Zoinks they did it again.... Velma TV series

Scooby-Doo wasn't the best cartoon in the world but it was usually a fun watch (until Scrappy-Doo turned up) but true to the current pattern the makers of Velma took everything that people liked about the show and injected their own vitriol , hate and politics into the durge they've once again produced.(anyone got a doggy poop bag ?)

Velma is now a South Asian lesbian , Daphne is a an Asian foundling adopted by two mothers, with "complicated feelings" , and Shaggy is a black stoner friend of Velma's ( stereotyping ?) , Fred a posh white idiot who from what I've seen is there to be the butt of all the jokes ... Brilliant !

Velma has a 1.5 out of 10 on IMDB and a 7% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

I've long since stopped watching TV shows and Movies because everything is so bland so seeing these people destroy what fans hold dear , Rings of Power , The Marvel franchise , Witcher Blood Origins is a source of entertainment for me than the shows ever could be , with every one of these shows they are sewing the seeds of their own destruction and that can only be a good thing.

I wouldn't completely discount it.

They are tone deaf enough to think making Tarzan black would be progressive.

at some point, they will out woke themselves, invert, and their heads will be sucked up their asses to the point they disappear. I'm not sure if there will be any smoke or fire when that happens, but it should be a spectacular display none the less.

I made it about 1/3 of the way thru the first episode. Aside from the ethic/gender tweaks and ridiculous cartoon nudity, every single character was a whiny self absorbed a**hole. I mean, COMPLETE a**hole! Not edgy at witty, just dumb.
All of them.

And to top it off, NO Scooby Doo. I guess they haven't found him yet. Scooby would be wise to run fast in the opposite direction if these dipsh*ts show up.

Erm, I have heard that is already done. At least in paper form and fan art. I haven't searched to verify this though. I don't want to see it.

I also did not look into the Kirk and Spock romance said to exist.



Oh, the opposite of Tarzan would be an asian woman with a female ape and female white girl named Boy for sidekicks. She has the power to run off animals by Karening at them.

She has the attack cry of screaming "Get your manager!"

I do think it's funny that the reason why Shaggy isn't white was to avoid making him a stereotype, so they made him an even bigger one by making him black.

The recent spate of television "remakes" and "adaptations" only serve to destroy legacy content.

I can't see any other reasonable intention or outcome that makes sense. Certainly not about making money.

It's pretty much a show that only the writer could love. It might be an interesting YouTube angle to rip into the Writer's pseudo-psyche while critiquing an episode or so of shows like these.
