There's a 20 millisecond span of time when the T-wave is on the upswing, that if you take a forceful blow to the chest over the heart it will cause cardiac arrest.

That part I get. The lung part does confuse me. Did they get damaged during chest compression in CPR?

I'm confused about that too and from this Daily Mail take of the family statement it does appear to have sustained 'lung damage' during resuscitation - hate to use the Mail as a source and the family certainly don't deserve to have their words twisted but can't get many others UK side Family statement

Not a personal believer in the power of prayer but more than happy to say one for this family - personally find American football insanely boring but this story has resonated worldwide and the family have gone out their way to call out any hate directed towards the player who tackled him and have contacted him and his family to offer any support they can which is incredible behaviour in such traumatic circumtances.

There's no reason to hate on anyone. It wasn't a dirty hit, not even unduly rough for the game. That's one reason why what happened was so shocking.

Thank you Zaphod for answering the question about the lungs!

My other one is... has he awakened? They say he seems to be neurologically intact, but I haven't read yet he became conscious again?

No, just different situations and different professional opinions. I don't want a Covid-19 Booster based on what I read and have heard. I also don't think the Covid-19 vaccine took him down.....................yet based on what other parents have described seeing there children having cardiac arrest playing sports. They described exactly what happened to him as I watched it. Their experience goes back to 2004.

I also had a major stroke in 2009 and I have permanent nerve and neurological damage from it. My entire left side from hand to toe is 24/7 numb and I have a spasm in a muscle near my heart. It feels like an elephant is sitting on my chest 24 / 7. I continue to move on. You would not be able to tell however. The stroke resulted from another concussion. My 7th. All others were sports related.

If at this point I had the slightest bit of Covid-19 I would be all over it but not yet. The doctors even said they don't know what caused it. YET!

Chris Pronger..hockey player if anyone doesn't know. He had a simular incident after taking a puck to the chest.

That's a puck to the chest or a baseball to the chest at velocity not a routine light nfl hit.

Also the odds of Commotio cordis are astronomical. It's never happened before in the NFL. 1 in 200 million versus the odds of a vaxx injury. Hmm.... let's see.

It happened to a kid in a hockey league I was playing in. I was 16 (I think) so he would’ve been the same age. Routine body check stopped his heart. I’m not saying that’s what happened to the Bills player. I’m just saying that it certainly happens and it doesn’t seem to take a whole lot to cause it.

It is interesting how all of these coincidences are occurring after 2021. As more things like this happen this year I'm sure we will find more excuses to explain them.

I do agree that something is definitely going on with the vax. I have a family member that just happened to come down with a random heart issue like week after he got his booster. You and I are on the same page there. I just don’t want to assume anything because I’m not a doctor but I know it’s totally possible that the hit stopped his heart. That’s all I’m saying. I still think the vax is evil.

Glad to hear he is doing well. Seems he is already doing better than expected, I just hope there is still some possibility for a full recovery.

--Edit did find other mention of football.

It is really odd to me it didn't happen when they used to literally plant the crown of the helmet in the chest of players.

He absorbed the blow and even started to overtake him. Everything i've seen prior to this incident says it takes a localized blunt force trauma, and with the chest protecter and shoulder pads i'm not really seeing that.

I get it with the number of people in the world today odd and rare occurences are bound to happen, so I do leave the potential for the official narrative, but also leave the potential for others.

He also probably drank some water the day that he got his booster. Heart disease is unfortunately very common.

Some news outlets quickly concluded Hamlin’s heart attack most likely was caused by commotio cordis, a rare phenomenon that occurs when a small and extremely fast-moving projectile — such as a baseball, hockey puck or lacrosse ball — strikes the chest in a precise location, disrupting the heart’s rhythm. The condition affects about 10-20 people per year, usually teenage boys.

Most mainstream media reports rejected the theory that Hamlin’s cardiac arrest might be linked to COVID-19 vaccines, using terms such as “far-right,” “vile,” “anti-vaxxer” and “conspiracy theorists.”

McCullough acknowledged that when a baseball hits an unprotected breastbone, it can precipitate a cardiac arrest, but said he was not aware of that happening in pro football, leading him to rule out commotio cordis.

“And as I watched things unfold it was relatively clear that [Hamlin] was in a primary cardiac arrest,” he said.

Yeah especially in 24 year old pro football players.

These things have always happened, but before covid, you never searched them out, and catalogued them.
