Anyway...I'm glad that she doesn't need a CCW. I think it would be great if nobody needed one, but that is just not reality, and of all the people that do need one...it would be a woman in Portland.

That was the hope here too...unfortunately it didn't work that way!

As one of the only states that has completely decriminalized drugs, it is now turned into a "safe haven" of sorts for the homeless, drug addicted, transient people and they are flocking here in the groves!

I suppose compared to Portugal, Oregon has different socio-economical and demigraphic characteristics that make it a larger problem for the decriminalization to effect change like it has there!

Also, Oregon has not made good on their promise to build and manage more treatment facilities for the drug addicted people like they said they would, so instead of treatment being more readily available, it is just the opposite as more addicts are here and less treatment available to them.
