1. Politicians are evil and anti-country citizens. They take no bond to their oath in office to represent the citizens of their nation.

2. Monopoly money ( electronic tranfers of money ) will be by using solar power that is to mandatory installation on mobile phones.

3. The Obama Phone. If you are low income or are participating in a government sponsored program, then you may qualify to receive a free Obama phone. The Lifeline Assistance program has existed since 1985, but became popular under President Barack Obama’s administration. Thus, the phones have become known as "Obama phones.". Those that have additional income above SSDI, SSI or Social Security and VA Disability will still qualify even for those living overseas.

4. Free phones to the Illegals called " Migrants " will be mandatory once the installation of #2 herein has stated . nypost.com...

5. The governments around the world are working with Chinese companies to make solar recharges for your mobile phone which is the first step toward everyone having on of these. ( reason is that power stations are subject to sabotage )

6. People are being programmed from early childhood to carry their phones. ( This is for security of the children, not true, the newer phones will also have high tech voice recognition also with eye recognition. This is already in place at many international airports.

7. High tech countries still have to figure out what to do with international exchange of money. A worldwide recognition of one type of paper money first, such as used in places of Europe. ( the beginning of one currency had nothing to do with it, it had to do with people entering the world with one travel currency. ( the problem with this that one will have to be on an worldwide ID program, something like how all the new passports which are going digital. In Japan they have introduced a " My Number " card, many people have not used it but it will be the norm. This allows all medical payments and travel and whatever to be withdrawn from where ever your income is placed at. Possibly even under your pillow case.

THE BIGGEST THREAT TO HUMANKIND STILL IS WATER, LAND AND AIR POLLUTION. ALL THIS HIGH TECH CRAP WILL FAIL IN THE END

Nice thread, MIM. Happy New Year!

Thank you MS.
And a truly Happy, Healthy and hopefully a more prosperous NEW YEAR.

I did update the blog with year end pictures. Not sure what my travels/adventures will be this year. Money is pretty tight and as I posted earlier it's pretty tough to enter the job market at my age, but that photography thing might have a new financial (small) road map for this year. Even if I tour here, taking family pictures of the campers would be great for them.
Take care my good friend.

Good list, MIM.

I have a question for you:

Is the Japanese government planning to implement these? Like, is there any documented plans?

Genuinely curious, as we hear very little about Japan's "inner-workings"

This looks like a good meditation spot, too:

Hey! Maybe you can meditate by making a life-size picture of it and hanging it on your wall. Great day for cycling but I did the new year maintenance of the bike today. Yep! The chain actually came off.

The "My Number " card is probably what everyone here are talking about. Just different names in different countries. I do have the "My Number " card, but I don't use it other than for income taxes, which has been several years now. But Japan is going full digital, that is for sure. One will know that when you depart Japan. Coming into Japan, there is some kind of watch list for foreigners. It's high tech stuff. It may start at the passengers home country, but not all countries are turning in info on their passengers. ( this statement maybe old, I'm sure it was part of the Covid passport spy network of intelligence gathering that was necessary to enter Japan. Although now it seems like Japan has opened its borders to air and sea passengers). I think eye recognition is the future. Finger print on withdrawing your money at the bank with the ATM machines I feel will be out dated soon. It most all likely be done by voice recognition. No more ATM bank cards. The bankers are most likely working on how do the international money withdraw on ATM with voice recognition. 7-11 here from I see , one can withdraw money on the international banking system, but I never used and don't know how it works, but the instructions seem to be also in English.
Very interesting times here. I always said, Japan is like China, but a "soft tone " of Communism way of life. You have to live here to understand it. Freedom is freedom, but I don't think it is like it was in America though. I don't live in a big city. In smaller town/villages, most people know everyone due to neighborhood duties all must participate in.

Did you see the 2 koi in the picture? There is a bench there where if one wanted to relax and meditate and just chill on a winter afternoon. It's a family park so its not too quiet at times though.

I thought the amazing zen and scenery was worthy of a showing too.

Agreed, a picture thread of MIM's travels would be cool!

So, pretty much like everywhere else, with a dash of socialism thrown in the mix. Fingerprints to use an ATM is over-the-line, like, wtf?

I DID notice the Koi and their calming ripples in the water, that was my favourite part of the pic, lol.

3. The Obama Phone.

Just wanted to add that it NOW costs $8US to set one up thru Cricket and $12/month to keep! I know this as I just had to get one as I'm STILL waiting on my SSDI or SSI to kick in.

Not entirely sure if this is Legal or not, but now with all the thousands of being homeless and no income this is going to make things even more strained-IMO

Thanks for the update on that. I didn't see any new updates on it when I searched about the Obama phone. Will children in America have to have an Obama phone also if their parents qualify?

What is Cricket?
