• "These IG Farben criminals, not the lunatic Nazi fanatics, are the main war criminals. If the guilt of these criminals is not brought to light and if they are not punished, they will represent a much greater threat to the future peace of the world than Hitler if he were still alive.”
U.S.General Telford Taylor, Nuremberg trials.
• "We shall have world government, whether or not we like it. The question is only whether world government will be achieved by consent or by conquest."

Before I post anything else, I wanted to say that I started watching the Corbett report and stopped... because I was feeling terribly uncomfortable about 'where it was going' ... you see like many of us, I am not exactly unfamiliar with these developments and the fascination of those with power to be able to 'categorize' 'their' 'subjects' for 'proper' 'management.'
This stuff, and how it can be abused, really has me worried... more later. Once I've finished the video and calmed down.

Traditional ID historically is based on reputation. When communities existed people became known for good or bad by their words and actions. Sadly people have learned they can do ill then move away when their reputation catches up with them. Social pressure of reputation was a great positive, offering incentive to be honest, hardworking and skilled. Now people are judged more on image. People whose acts during the scandemic should be absolute #e are still propped up by media to the point where they can continue in their positions. Sad state when the media, government and medical industry all have horrible reputations (justifiably) yet remain in power.
How we can ever return to social groupings where reputation mattered is a mystery to me. Short of mass depopulation leaving only a few millions alive that is.

Traditional ID is historically based on birth, address, and visual aid connecting name to face. This means you're a resident. No more, no less.

Proving who you are is necessary between people... but the digital form makes it between you and a 'system.' I would say trust in the system must be earned. When my digital form is rejected by the system, who will say what punishment that merits... the system?

As long as your standard issue plastic ID card still serves its intended purpose, I would say this whole dialogue is just stirring the pot for the sake of watching turds tumble.
