Stay vigilant.

It will only happen when the curtain has been completely torn down. Not when they see what is really behind the curtain, because people are too stuck in their apathy to care about the devil on the throne.

It is not until their comforts are removed. Not until they are personally affected. When they feel their persistent hunger pains. When they reach for their cell phones to bitch about it to their avatar or media site friends and find they no longer have access.

When they realize they are alone, and the people they have lived next to for years, are strangers to them.

It will come like a thief in the night. Everyone will claim they were blindsided, while they continue to surround themselves with location beacons.

We should be vigilant, but more importantly, we should be prepared.

City dwellers are going to have to realize that in the early days, you don't want to be on the streets looking for supplies. In the second stage protecting your dwindling supply is going to be extremely difficult.

If you manage to get past the stage where the strong and evil have killed off the weak, gullible, and the foolish, you will be a sitting duck, and it is not the time to make a plan.

Prepare. I did not say hoard. Prepare.
