I'M GONNA BE A GRANDPA ! ! !...and it's about damn time !
I've been waiting for this what seems like forever.

2 of my kids still live up North and we went up on Wednesday and Thursday to have an early Christmas with them since my wife has to work Christmas Eve this year. While we were there, my oldest son, who lives in Texas, called to tell me the good news.
They had lost one before to a miscarriage, so they waited to make sure everything was going to be ok, before telling anyone.

She is due in April and I'm gonna be busy between now and then picking out toys to take to my new Grandson.

I got my best Christmas present early.

I'd say don't spoil him, but you will. I did. I still do. They are incredible. Way better than kids. Had I known, I'd have just had them first.

Congratulations! I had to wait awhile myself, my 30 year old son, got married and had kids before my 40 year old son. I doubt my eldest will ever marry or have little ones.

Enjoy them little ones. They are a beautiful blessing!

I became a Nain (Grandma in Welsh) two years ago, to Killian. My Wednesdays are full of laughter and joy, and getting up to all sorts of mischief with him. He reconnects me to the child within me. I do see him other times too, but Wednesdays are just him and me..... mwahahahaha!
