The Ukrainian and indigenous Tatar partisan organization "Atesi" issued a statement that it was their own attack on the fire that broke out in the Russian military barracks on the Crimean peninsula in southern Ukraine on the 10th.

The statement states that it will "continue to destroy the Russian military from within."

Meanwhile, on the 10th, the Ukrainian military attacked the Russian military base in Melitopol, Zaporizhia Province, which Russia had declared annexed, with the high-mobility rocket artillery system "Himaas" provided by the United States.

The Russian side has announced that two people have died, but the Ukrainian side claims about 200 casualties.

I can only imagine the suffering both sides are facing with the below zero freezing temps they are having to fight in. Last report I saw was there has been an estimated 95,000 Russian troops killed and several Russian Generals. Russia as a country has several ethnic groups and some of these groups are not gun ho Russian citizens.
youtu.be... if I had a voice in this conflict I would attempt to make strikes into Russia as a great defense is a sneaky offense.

An odd bit of weather at the moment actually has Moscow above freezing and Paris below freezing. Pretty much all of Ukraine is above freezing (today).

Cheers

That made me think of what I was just reading the other day.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday once again drew international attention when he warned that if even one missile enters Russian territory, "hundreds" of warheads will respond.

"I assure you, after the early warning system receives a signal of a missile attack, hundreds of our missiles are in the air," Putin said from a summit in Kyrgyzstan, Russian news outlet RIA reported. "It is impossible to stop them."

"There will be nothing left of the enemy, because it is impossible to intercept a hundred missiles. This, of course, is a deterrent — a serious deterrent," he added.

I'm still wondering if we'll make it to Christmas before the world starts lobbing missiles at each other.

Seems like propaganda for the Ukrainian side considering the heavy loss in bakhmut.

If you say it is, then it must be right.

Well that's a thought I guess.
I wonder how that would go? Hmm intriguing thought.

How many times have we heard "big blow to Russian army"?

It's similar to the "walls are closing in" nonsense they constantly say about Trump.

Things on the actual ground tell a much different story. Ukraine is currently loosing about 500 men a day in Bakmaut alone. Ukraine is unable to maintain a front line and though fighting bravely they are still loose on multiple fronts. The Russian front line has isn't even fully assembled yet. It's gonna get very bad for Ukraine seeing much of the aid sent by the west doesn't even make it to the troops that need it.

Someone who was a weapons inspector for the UN for 30 years probably has a better grasp on the situation than everyone participating in this thread currently.

Ukraine is becoming desperate and resorting to terrorist tactics. Most people don't realize how dangerous bombing a Russian airfield that has nuclear weapons on site is. That one action from Ukraine could have ended us all...

The statement states that it will "continue to destroy the Russian military from within."

While Russia concentrates on destroying civilian utility infrastructure , at least Ukraine are targeting the enemy not the people of the enemy.

Whose heavy loss? The Ukrainian army is repelling at least 10 Russian attacks per day in Bakhmut. Sure, the Russians have completely destroyed the city itself, but they are also taking heavy losses with each failed attempt to take the city with ground forces.

Do you think that if you bomb a nuclear weapon it will go off?

How did Russia fare in Kherson etc?

They still there?

A hundred or even hundreds of conventional warheads is not going to leave "nothing left of the enemy". Do you think he meant hundreds of Nukes?

He's not that deranged, is he?
