Hi ATS!!

Being forced to listen to Christmas music should be on the UN list of inhumane treatment!!

So here is some Dropkick Murphys to lighten the mood!!

And because I can…

Any “non-traditional” X-Mas music that you would like to share with the group??

TY!! The Ramones still makes me feel good all these years later!

Happy Holidays!

Here is a great cover of Albert King by Tinsley Ellis.

Cheers my friend and Merry Christmas to you too!
Great tune there - it's fun to hear what people do in different genres. My lifelong friend and local colorful character Scotty Seatbelt just dropped this tune, it's pretty good!

At the very least, I expect I'll lose my ATS membership for this.

I like the mohawk Santa giving the UK punk salute!!

What is it about this time of year that brings out the aggression??

I found something almost as insidious and evil as your Mariah offering.

How about 2 hours of in-store K Mart tunes from 1974?

HAH!

This is my Christmas Hell song. I want to puncture eardrums when I hear it.

Or ... this ... The family tradition every Thanksgiving:

Oh! I am sorry! We were looking for “non-traditional” and Jingle Bells, although a reinterpretation, is still Jingle Bells!

Who am I kidding??

Love the contribution!

Merry Christmas!!

Here is a left field song!

My wife and I started going to Trans Siberian Orchestra many years ago. It has become our Christmas tradition. Though both have great talent, for us the East group is by far the better of the two. The newer shows are not as good as the more thematic shows of the past. If you want to see a great show with stunning performances and a fantastic story line - here it is...
tso

This video is the East group doing, "The Lost Christmas Eve". It is a very moving story with amazing performances. I know a few of these people and love them all. Chris Caffery and Joel Hoekstra on guitar, Dave Z (rip) on bass, Derek Weiland keyboards and Musical Director, Jeff Plate drums, Roddy Chong violin, Bryan Hicks narrating, and amazing vocals by: Kayla Reeves, Georgia Napolitano, Erika Jerry, Russel Allen, and Rob Evan with a truly inspired performance, among other fantastic singers. TSO allows video recording of their shows. This video was shot with non-professional gear from the front row. And it still rocks.

I was also very fortunate to have met Jon Oliva, one of the founders of TSO, and founder and lead singer of the group Savatage, at one of the shows. It was a great moment in time for me.

The worst thing about that rendition is that the singing isn't horrible and the music isn't horrible, but put them together and then it's horrible.

It took me a while to “hear” the bells (as Christmas Bells” but when I did… the song became more than a “comeback” song.

I hope you can hear that aspect as well!

It really fits in with all the other festive songs that we (besides the torture) love.

What do expect from Violent Night??

Me, we need a new Bad Santa (the original is full of true alcohol addiction that I feel for the writer!)
