It is so true that music is magic. A magic that only our hearts and minds communicate to each other.
The magic of your little child playing music with a smile on their face is a true forever gift from our children to us.

Today, years ago is the day I ask my little girl does she want to live in America. Her music was her gift to me when she said " dad, let's play music together ".

Thanks for posting this, mim. I've always thought music is the coolest art form. More so than film, painting, or any other medium. Some of the most profound songs only last a couple of minutes, but can affect people so deeply, it's incredible. And timeless.

So beautiful.

I can still remember my son as a toddler singing in the bath. His first school concert. The absolute joy and love I feel when he sings đź’™

The very first time I heard "Sound of Silence" by Disturbed I had tears in my eyes, was very moved.

Yeah...and when the human body squints, they'll always drip out. Can't hold much fluid around the eyes. It's meant to be that way...

I loved the singing of Andre Bocelli and when we were first married he bought tickets for us to go see him.

When we arrived to the auditorium I was seated behind a man that was like 6’5. I couldn’t see a single thing.
My husband asked the usher if there was any way we could be moved because our view was blocked. The usher said they would help us after everyone was seated.

Then.. the usher came back and moved us ALL the way to the front! I couldn’t believe it. Andre came out and the sound of angels came out of his mouth. Tears flowed down my cheeks. I will never forget that sound, the music.

I think sounds and smells hold a very sacred memory for many.

Thank you for sharing this. Right now I’m sitting with my mother. She’s late in Alzheimer’s. I’m playing Tapestry by Carol King and every time the next track comes on I can see fleeting glimpses of who she was.

Bless you..
Dealing with my father and his late stage Dementia was heart wrenching. There were days where he was himself, and days he was a complete stranger.

When he couldn’t recognize me was one of the worst days…
But those moments when he was his old self, how much I cherished them!

Thank you Jag. Yes it is heartbreaking. Kind words from someone who’s been there before do help, so I do appreciate it. Especially since I’m a jerk to you sometimes. 👍

If so I don’t remember it. I take no offense at differing views on here. Only a very few people have truly rubbed me the wrong way. Everyone is entitled to their own (sometimes passionate) opinion.
