Well.... Actually Matthew 24-36 is a trap for the unwary. You're making a incorrect assumption on what he's telling us here. If you remove the verse
numbers and read the prophecy the way it was delivered you would realize the subject of that statement isn't the Apocalypse. The subject of that
statement is the 1st event of the Apocalypse. And that event is in verse 24-14.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Now that being said now Jesus appears to have made a slip of the tongue in John 2. Inadvertently he dated an end time event. Here's the statement he
made.
18 Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?
19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
21 But he spake of the temple of his body.
But now remember 2nd Peter 3-8.
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
He told us there that destroy his body and it would be restored in 3 days or 3000 years. So what happens when his body is restored? That is in
Revelation 21.
22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light
thereof.
New Jerusalem descends to the Earth 3000 years after his death. Therefore the thousand year reign of the saints starts at the 2000th anniversary of
his death. 2033 is given as the year for that on the internet.
And this theory can be verified with another prophecy in Hosea. Specifically in verse 6-2 where we're given a timeline to the "day of Jezreel"
prophecy.
Hosea 6-1 and 2.
1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
There's those 3 days again. Thousand year periods of time. And the term "day of Jezreel" appears to be another name for the 1000 year reign of the
saints.
And that's the missing part of the Daniel 9 70 weeks or 490 years. The curse part of the day of Jezreel prophecy started in the 69th week and the
70th week will finish up at the end of the 2000 years/2 days.
So Daniel 9's missing part is in the day of Jezreel prophecy. Combine the two for the fuller picture of what's going on. They are
co-prophesies.
