Why isn't the word "psychopath" used enough in the media?

And why wouldn't it be primarily attributed to heads of state who would seriously consider a nuclear first strike a viable martial tactic?

How did a clearly cold-blooded kleptocrat become such a dangerous dictator? Asked and answered.

Had an epiphany in the shower today (as often happens) that there's no single word for "rule by secrecy," so I came up with "cryptocracy." Sure enough I Googled no such word...

""Why isn't the word "psychopath" used enough in the media?""

Because it's not illegal to be a psychopath? ☠️

Nor is it necessarily illegal to expose them, though cryptocracy ensures it is effectively so.

Of course cryptocracy can't exist without pathocracy, which *DING!* is why "psychopath" is media understated.

Because few people really know the definition, even though they throw it around as if they do.

Because journalists are a sensitive bunch and don't want to out themselves.

Because psychology has not got it right. We really don't or refuse to understand ourselves. Maybe more refuse. We tend to look to the positive aspects and refuse to accept the negative. We won't progress this way.

First and foremost, the second they start doing that and all the psychopaths will turn it off. As well as so many other 'mental stuff' sorts along those lines. I've written some threads you should read.

But the punchline is, that modern social engineering mass scale media driven indoctrination these days has in its Agenda to try to stoke and steer and entrench into people being all sorts of 'crazy'. That's the game now. And I can tell ya, its working, because when you tend to be the only one making it a point to try to talk about that kind of stuff, you quickly become the most ignored if not hated list wherever you attempt it. You'll see.

You are right, but who was the only country in history to choose a nuclear strike???? U.S.A.

Who's got the power and will use it?

Pretty sure it would take some kind of real breakthrough in unexplained phenomena to have any real power over/influence on anything of the status quo. Hopefully Zeus will hurl a lightning bolt after all...

Words have meaning and I dont think psychopath is the right choice in that scenario, Sociopath sure, narcissist absolutely. Psychopath is more impulsive, where launching nukes in a first strike scenario requires some degree of calculation or plan to convince others there is a chance of survival so you dont get epsteined.

Nope, at this stage I absolutely agree it's 'psychopathic vide'. What now?

Actually I remember learning the difference between psycho- and socio- a long time ago, but forgot more recently. Thank you for that.

Then again, if the decision to launch a nuke occurs as an instantaneous reaction to something, an impulse, might the physical action itself be simply psychopathic?

Anybody who wants to rule over others, Is at the very least a sociopath. Those leaders who enjoy heaping misery on their populations are Psycopath's.

Psychopathy is little understood.

Usually presents between 2-4yrs of age. Psychopaths delight in causing pain and suffering in other living things. They have no grasp or understanding the suffering of others and cannot empathise. It is thought they do not understand reprimand or punishment for their actions. They are utterly self-righteous.

Despite this psychological deficit, their learning capacity is rarely reduced.

It is still believed psychopaths are created through trauma. In my experience, people who were traumatised in early childhood develop deeper empathy, capacity for agency is reduced and psychopaths easily identify and target them for abuse.

Psychopaths are astute and deeply manipulative and never accept responsibility for their actions.

What happens with people who seek high office can be likened to psychopathy but their psychological state is induced through changes in brain physiology, reducing hippocampus mass and increased mass of fear centres in the amygdala, i.e. enlarged and developed lizard brain.

Sorry, didn't address the question posed in the OP.

Lack of media reporting down to;
1) psychopathy is little understood
2) libel
