Ancients had no internet, mobile phones, TV or light pollution. The night sky was their entertainment, their life.
What could this be? A comet, shooting stars….. no always aliens.

I'm starting to get tired of hearing peer review...
Do you know the only thing peer review is good for???
Reinforcing the current paradigm. It's not good for finding truth, for testing hypotheses, etc... It's only good for reinforcing the paradigm and creating an environment where no one questions said paradigm, or are dismissed for questioning the paradigm, whether they have evidence supporting that questioning or not.
F$%^ peer review, let's instead have logical evaluation.

There are examples of "mysterious" ancient rock art around the world.....
....It can often be difficult to interpret the meaning of certain imagery without sufficient cultural context.
Some of the so-called "ancient astronaut" drawings are indeed depictions of masked dancers and shamans, or mythological figures.
In other cases, such as on the Tasili n'Ajjer plateau, the appearance of what look like space-suited people is simply a stylistic convention for the way that humans were depicted at the time.

I don't allege to be any sort of expert, far from it.
But I've been interested in this subject for a lot of years now - I think I read my first book related to this round about '82ish.
There are examples of "mysterious" ancient rock art around the world.....
Don't you think that in itself is more than coincidental?
That all these civilisations, most quite independent of and even ignorant of each others existence, all came up with similar art forms and very similar myths and legends many of which have some sort of alien/advanced life form at their core?
....It can often be difficult to interpret the meaning of certain imagery without sufficient cultural context.
And in that drive to find 'cultural context' Academia at times find some that isn't there.
Quite simply put; it manufactures some assumed 'cultural context' to fit in with 'established' thinking.
Some of the so-called "ancient astronaut" drawings are indeed depictions of masked dancers and shamans, or mythological figures.
I have absolutely no doubt you are right there.
First of all; some being the key word here. What about the one's that aren't?
And secondly; where did the inspiration for 'masked dancers and shamans, or mythological figures' come from in the first place?
What made these shamen etc dress up like they did?
Why did they imagine the characters from their myths and legends etc to look like alien astronauts etc?
In other cases, such as on the Tasili n'Ajjer plateau, the appearance of what look like space-suited people is simply a stylistic convention for the way that humans were depicted at the time.
So, did they depict all humans as 'space suited people'?
Are there more examples?
And if so, why?
Did these people go around dressed looking like 'space suited people'?
If not, what was the inspiration to depict people like that?
I freely accept there are lots of gaps in the Ancient Aliens Theories.....but there's quite compulsive supportive evidence too.
I've never read or met anyone who can thoroughly convince me either way....but if I'm being honest, I sort of lean towards the side that thinks there's something to it.
