The commonality is that most people don’t see the true message in these works. Revelation, on the surface has some interesting monsters and strange plot lines, as does Godzilla.

What’s important to know about Godzilla is that it was created by a Japanese artist less than a decade following the bombings of Nagasaki and Hiroshima, while Japan was still being occupied by US troops who were suppressing news and art discussing the nuclear attack.

This artist then writes a story about a massive enemy coming over the pacific ocean destroying Japanese cities by knocking buildings over and shooting deadly radioactive beams. This is an obvious metaphor for the US and the nuclear bombs they dropped, and even used some footage of the destruction in the original movie.

Revelation is the same, writing about fantastic creatures which would amuse the romans the way Godzilla amuses and entertains Americans, while expressing truth to the masses it was intended for.

Hard to rule things like this out 100% atleast. I don't really beleive it. Still pondering things with a open mind to find the truth is always welcomed until proven beyond a shadow of doubt one would think. Godzilla was always fiction as a real life metaphor perhaps but the bible has always been non fiction with way more direct storylines and evidence when created.

Im christian but have always wondered if the birth of Jesus was really just a story to prevent the penalty for adultry back then. As without direct evidence it seems more plausible a story created to save ones own life and virtue than a child of god with no intercourse.

We see people every day making up crazy or wild stories to save theor arse complete with cover ups. The truth is often a story we repeat over and over until we forget that its a lie comes to mind often 🤣

Trust in god but people and the church not so much. I don't agree with your assesment but it's ponderable nonetheless.

+1. I see no spiritual significance to Godzilla.

having said that...
"I saw a great beast rising out of the sea...and the people marveled, and they said, who can make war against this beast?"
