Is anyone watching this?

I read the book about 10 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. Its a bit of tome at 1300 pages but well worth the read.

The TV show has been done really well and captures the tone of the book perfectly, in my opinion of course.


Its about an Aussie convict that escapes from prison in broad daylight and runs to India where he has sone profound and enriching encounters .

We all could do with a bit of life affirming escapism now and then.

Good lord, I will watch anything with him in it.

And he is a good actor.

The book was amazing. But I'm pretty disappointed in the series so far. I feel like if you hadn't read the book, you'd have zero idea about what's going on. In fact, I think I need to read the book again!

I believe it is, never seen that other show tho.

His Australian accent is a bit hit and miss to be honest but other than that, hes a great casting choice for Lin.

It is a great book, I'm finding the series is bringing it back to mind.

yeah, his accent is terrible. In the book, his thoughts are penned in a very Australian way.
I always thought it would make a great series, but I think the story is just too big.
