I do wish Mr. Pelosi well, I do not want to see anyone hurt, even if I most certainly do not agree with his wife’s extreme view of politics.

That being said, the timing for this horrendous attack is certainly suspect. I certainly hope that Democrats desperation did not enable them to stoop to this level.

Your describing classic scale distraction, take the focus off of the failing macro scale and focus the ‘public discourse’ on the micro scale.

In this instance the micro scale that is the focus shares a boundary with a prominent public figure, who is commonly known for unscrupulous, even nefarious, behaviour.

Or to summarise, an attempt to lead you by the nose into a world of smoke and mirrors is being offered.
