Jerry Lee Lewis, 'Great Balls of Fire' singer, dead at 87

The rock 'n roll pioneer passed away after suffering from various illnesses throughout the years, his publicist wrote in a press release Friday.

"He was there at the beginning, with Elvis, Johnny Cash, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Carl Perkins, Fats Domino, Buddy Holly, and the rest, and watched them fade away one by one till it was him alone to bear witness, and sing of the birth of rock ‘n’ roll...

'Who would have thought,' he said, near the end of his days, ‘it would be me?’

Indeed.

RIP Mr. Lewis. You left a legacy that will be around for a long time to come.

87!! Thanks for the helluva ride you brought us rock n roll loving people on!!

This for me is one of those deaths where you thought or assumed they died years ago.

A good age.

There are guitars collections of late guitarist and i wonder did Jerry had piano collection.. Great man inteed .. there is no top gun without Jerry ! RIP
