Russia Lies Again- About Dirty Bomb Claims

For Putin, given the position he has put himself in, pulling the nuke card just to try to win in Ukraine, would mean political (and possibly, literal) suicide.

I dont think the fake images are meant to pull one over on the West (bonus if they succeed at that) but probably designed more for their citizens consumption.

With Putin, now, openly stating that there is no "sensible" reason to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine...

What, really, are his other "sensible" options to secure victory?


Doesn't it sound, at least a bit, like he is conceding, ultimately, to defeat?

He's tried virtually every other tactic at his disposal, culminating now in a conscription program that appears to be quite unpopular with the home front.

"SCORCHED EARTH" tactics, meant to frighten and demoralize Ukraine (and its Western supporters), are having the opposite effect, coalescing the Ukrainian desire to resist and defeat the invading forces...with redoubled military support from the west.

Threats, even unto nuclear warfare, have not deterred Ukraine's push to reclaim territory once seized by Russian forces.


And now, Putin himself has essentially drawn the line he will not cross;

At least, not without forever marking himself, by his own definition, senseless!


Sounds like he has finally read the writing on the wall, and it says
