Kids, it was the Summer of 1994 long before I met your mother.
A new band appeared on the scene and produced an album that would influence a generation of young people that rejected conventional pop culture on the
road to self discovery while wading through the molasses of teenage angst.
Many missed the message while being seduced by the melody itself, and so anti-establishment ironically became pop culture in itself.
It's still one of the best debut albums ever produced in the 90's, and is a scathing critique of the society we grew up in.
It's even more relevant in 2022, so remember to read the lyrics lest you get lost in the sound.
They certainly are in competition with one another, like so many bands did in the 90's you could listen to a song and only years later read the lyrics
and discover a song all over again.
Keep smashing!
