A ground floor opportunity……for those who feel “what can I do to help solve this UAP mystery”….and have the time to volunteer……

Mission

To improve aviation safety by enhancing scientific knowledge of, and mitigating barriers to, the study of Unidentified Aerospace Phenomena (UAP)

Volunteer

As Chair of the AIAA UAP Community of Interest, I need your help. We need volunteers who can offer their scientific, technical and digital skills to the mission of advancing our understanding of UAP. As we further our understanding of what’s in our skies, we must ensure timely access to these new safety insights across the military, commercial, and general aviation safety landscapes. It will take a diverse set of skills to advance our mission to enable us to reduce stigma, increase reporting, and integrate the findings into air and space policies. If you think you could help, please apply.

Thank you for considering volunteering your time for this critical mission — it means a lot to me, and I think together, we can bring certainty to the unknown.

Feels like there's metal teeth hiding in the grass somewhere or it's a huge massive derp.

"We need you Joe public because we just can't do the science alone! Let's make the skies safe!"

How wide are they willing to search, how far are they willing to dig? We know the crazier things they've approached this topic with in the past and it's all rather murky to say the least. The scientific approach might be all well and good but it is a topic that kind of asks your mind to fall out of your skull and hop around the room a little bit.

I'll never knock an honest approach though! Cheers for posting this, it's very interesting isn't it?

I don’t understand the threat of UAP to aviation safety. When was the last time an aircraft, General Aviation or Commercial or military have a mid-air incident and crashed due to a confirmed UAP?

See your point there .

At least Ronald made an extremely good point about the Condon sham back in the day.

• "The opposite conclusion could have been drawn from The Condon Report's content, namely, that a phenomenon with such a high ratio of unexplained cases (about 30 percent) should arouse sufficient scientific curiosity to continue its study.. From a scientific and engineering standpoint, it is unacceptable to simply ignore substantial numbers of unexplained observations.. the only promising approach is a continuing moderate-level effort with emphasis on improved data collection by objective means.. involving available remote sensing capabilities and certain software changes."

Don't know the answer to your question but the aviation safety aspect does get brought up in this interview.

Yes, it is very interesting. I wish I had the energy for participating as a member in another .org with what appears to be a worthy cause, especially in the UAP arena. However, these days I’m already bound to two other .org’s as it stands now……The Planetary Society and The American Legion. Both of which still send out interesting hardcopy magazine’s, as part of their membership, of their going’s on. Occasionally they ask for volunteers for something or other.

Now, if the AIAA were a 501C entity in which I can write off taxes, and they provide an organization hardcopy magazine with annual membership dues, and I don’t have to volunteer labor….. then I might be even more interested in joining, just to read their magazine if they publish one for members.

I wish all who join the AIAA well…………make worldwide news! Find something!

Great observation……great point!

If these spacecraft can travel at light speed without colliding with planets, stars, asteroids, comets and other space floating debris……why would they collide with earths aircraft!

Apparently Aliens have much advanced, sense and avoid navigation systems.

I cannot decide if this thread is a sincere, if misguided, effort or a tongue-in-cheek joke. I suppose readers of this offering could say the same.

Months after the first "flying saucers" were witnessed in 1947 the US Army's Air Technical Intelligence Command investigated the phenomena and deduced that the objects were not from Earth. That report was burned. After that, the objects were publicly denied in every instance by government and its handmaiden Science. Whatever they were officially, they were said to not be a threat to national security. So the public went rocking along as if everything was still just as peachy as when we had disposed off the last claim to our authority. God was declared dead about that time and the whole Universe was deemed our domain to be ransacked as we were doing to Earth itself and TVs were on the market! And, Man!, did you see the new Studebakers?

Stories of little figures scurrying around downed UFOs were reported. Then more serious things were in the news.
Reports of mysterious livestock mutilations became common knowledge. And finally, hundreds of reports of humans being abducted and physically assaulted by the creatures of the UFO were added to the tale of the "flying saucers." ...And no one cared very much.

Then one day, the US government, for no particular reason, started talking about and releasing details about the mysterious craft that had been classified as UAPs to distance them from that pesky, stigma-loaded "UFO" term. "Hey," they said, "We are going to get to bottom of this!" And they set things into motion, overtly and covertly to bring out their version of that aspect of our visitors.

What they have done is create a false flag operation dealing with the physical side of the situation. (Oh, look at the fantastic abilities of those craft to negate mass!) One of the characteristics that many of us already have come to terms with. When, the real purpose is to mildly educate and distract us from the real situation. For example, has any official of government or Science ever sat, patted his/her knee, and said "We need to seriously talk about why these beings, we don't call them creatures, are here. They are not mere sightseers, they are here to, ummm, HELP us find ourselves."

The exact revelation may never come. But may be ascertained by an astute look into the situation because the mechanisms and instructions have already been put into operation...almost as if there is a dire need to do so to forestall some possible major action that no one wants or could even imagine coming from traveling gods in chariots of light as they would say in the old days.

Basically, humanity is being ushered into a completely new type of civilization that is driven by a form of Cosmic Law the likes of which will be foreign and unacceptable to most humans and many governments but yet is the way forward toward the consciousness which a proper human mind always seeks. The implementation will be any means possible, direct and indirect, legal methods or those brought about by the Deep State, Wokeism and a Redo. From the masses can be expected "spiritual" movements of one kind or another, for the cause or against. Earth is going into a state of turmoil of which it may not recover. I strongly suspect you will have a choice in how it turns out.

You make some good points……one of which is

…….”Earth is going into a state of turmoil of which it may not recover. I strongly suspect you will have a choice in how it turns out”…….

I’m going to assume when you say “you” …you are referring to mankind as a whole.

The Documentary Ten Billion convinced me that we are screwed.

Also, UFOlogy today is a potpourri of agenda’s to stroke egos.

There’s less to be believed in today, than the bright futures outlook of yesteryears generations.

The reality could be flying tea cups and saucers and cattle mutations are just confused attempts to find some semi-skimmed milk.

If the government says it's so it better come with a bag of salt, they tend to show time and time again it's they who don't play well with others.

a reply to: Ophiuchus1

A scientific approach alone might be rather discounting to swathes of people associated with the phenomena.

It's the first thing that comes to mind... The framing and discounting of the phenomena has a funny history when you look at it from that angle, not the haha funny either!

A new frame for an old picture? Because governments have never looked for 'UAP's' or discounted people who say 'UFO's' look for them.

I naturally suspect their sincerety especially given the subject too.

Yep, no-one seems to know what's going on Ray.

There does seem to be widespread fraud involved in the 'scientific'' studies though.

• "The government has manipulated the results scientific studies, such as the one done by Battelle, to show that they found noting when in fact they did. In other cases it has set up panels that purported to scientifically examine the subject, but instead used them to debunk the phenomena, such as those of Robertson and Condon."

Battelle Researcher Dr. Irena Scott Ph.D.

Here's Stanton discussing the largest ever scientific UFO study conducted by the US government.

• "This was a good report, but the Air Force deliberately tried to mislead the public. The report actually showed that 21.5% of the sightings were unknowns."

Stanton Friedman, Physicist.

Came across this to consider…. The 1974 CRASH AT COYAME Incident in Mexico. The U.S. purportedly got involved …… there are other tellings of this incident elsewhere on the www. Aka….Mexico’s Roswell

I can say I haven’t heard back yet.

But, I also view it as somewhat low probability. I have a lot of experience in my line of work that has afforded me many transferable skills. However, those skills are not directly in aeronautics, physics, etc.

From my experience, people (who are smart) in technical fields don’t see value in diverse perspective/different solutions or thoughts to how to approach a problem.

So, you get little in the way of “results”, offer suggestions to approach the problem from a different perspective, and get told “nope, you don’t have a background in xxxxx”. So, they do what they want, continue to fail, and continue to ignore other paths to understanding.

I’d love to contribute, truly, but I’m not holding my breath. 😎

There is a book by Frank Joseph, who usually is an Atlantis guy who records numerous military aerial jousts with UFOs, published in 2018. Military Encounters with Extraterrestrials: The Real War of the Worlds

I read the book a while back but recall it has many incidents, including the well-known ones and some very shocking ones that are not generally known.

Assumedly, these encounters would be covered up by---you know who.

What I want to volunteer for is sipping mojitos and watching the sand blow. Got room?

This would be a great task force to work on, but sadly I could only ooohhh and ahhhh and the cool pictures and get in the way.
