Passing of Retired NASA Astronaut James Mcdivitt

Passing of Brigadier General James McDivitt USAF (Ret) and NASA Astronaut - James McDivitt passed away at age 93, He was part of NASA astronaut Group 2 which was selected in 1962. McDivitt was commander of Gemini 4 in June 1965 which conducted the first US spacewalk He commanded the Apollo 9 mission which conducted the checkout of the Lumar Module in Earth orbit in March 1969 He left NASA in 1972 following a dispute over crew assignments on Apollo 17 He was 93 RIP in peace Traveler
