Two completely different people and experiences

In their case, if they were the ones to see the lights, I think it was meant for them, as the only ones to see it

In my case, I took people down specifically to see the lights

I don't get what you mean by "which is it?"

You Assured the OP that the "Lights" choose who can see them....

Then you Stated that you took people to See the "Lights"....

Something is wrong with One or Both Statements...

I never said they "choose who can see them". I said they were there to see the poster

"One person seeing them, while others do not" doesn't mean that the others were somehow physically incapable. It means they simply didn't notice what the other person did

The context should have been pretty clear by the original posters description

There is nothing wrong with the statements, only the way in which you read them

Nice topic, I've enjoyed reading the replies. Your story reminded me of something I saw in my front yard quite a while ago now.

I'm in Victoria, and it was late at night, I was out the front having a smoke sitting on a little retaining wall. Saw either two or three bright flashes in/coming from a gum tree off to the left of me, maybe around 6 or so metres away. Kind of like a camera flash, but a little longer duration. I remember feeling quite scared, or like I was being looked at, and very promptly went back inside.

No power poles or anything like that close by, really don't know what it could have been. Certainly remember feeling fearful, and almost like someone was intruding on me or my space.

Anyway, just wanted to share that, I hadn't though about it for a while until I read your post!

Seen you mention the headlight seen during your CE AnInvisibleCorner............................ Can you tell me the colour please. Like intense white, dull white, yellow, maybe another?

When it was up close it was definitely a intense white colour,.

Its seemed to have a slightly more blue-ish hue when it was further away.

Any particular reason why you ask?

Sorry just seen the second sentence. Reason being just wanted to check the colour type you had a CE with. White's are generally pretty things and seem to have fun.

It is fun and interesting looking back on it now! I remember for a while afterwards, I avoided that side of the yard though! I'd like to think, if it happens again, I'd be a bit more curious and less uneasy.

And I agree, much more fun when you're able to stop and take in your own more immediate surroundings, I'm very lucky and thankful to be able to do that a bit more these days. I hope you are too!

I saw something similar with several friends years ago but it was about 10-15 feet above our heads, bright bluish white and about the size of a basketball, maybe a teeny bit smaller, ours was what I would call an orb. It danced around above us for about 10 seconds and then it shot off through the canyon we were hiking through at about 2-3am. It shot off through the canyon very fast and was out of sight in about 2-3 seconds. It happened 20 years ago and we still talk about it today every so often with the friends I'm still in contact with.

Sounds very similar. The one I saw was about the same size.

Do you remember the feeling you got when you saw it?

I'm leaning towards the aboriginal thinking on this, they are the oldest surviving culture on the planet afterall, 60,000 years no less.... Theyve been around!
