DOJ Statement Link

There was a thread a few months ago that this guy had been caught and charged with attempting to defraud the insurance company, as well as regular citizens by raising money on GoFundMe. Yesterday he pleaded guilty to these charges.

Back in 2020 he claimed Antifa had come to his property, and because of the Trump flag he was flying they set fire to his home and spray painted his garage with an Antifa symbol, "Biden 2020" and "BLM". He did all of it himself.

Through his lies he'd attempted to defraud the insurance company out of $300,000 and he'd raised over $17,000 from GoFundMe victims, whom he'd conned.

According to court documents, on September 23, 2020, Denis Vladmirovich Molla, 30, falsely reported to law enforcement that someone had lit his camper on fire and that three unknown males were near his home when he heard an explosion. Molla also reported that his garage door was vandalized with spray painted graffiti stating, “Biden 2020,” “BLM,” and an Antifa symbol, and that his camper was targeted because it had a Trump 2020 flag displayed on it. In reality, Molla started his own property on fire and spray painted the graffiti on his own garage.

He pleaded guilty yesterday, the 11th, and will be sentenced at a later time.

It's good to see a complete idiot get what's coming to him, but you have to wonder -- how many people believed him and got angry over this story thinking he was telling the truth? And how many other con-men are trying to profit right now, exploiting those same emotions?

He should have painted swastikas, Maga, and Trump 2024 stuff on his building.

DOJ would have given him millions.

Oh well, being stupid should hurt.

Notice how this post gets more stars than the OP 🤣. Shows you where loyalties lie. However! The forefathers of ATS never intended for political mudpit to exceed the entire rest of the forum.

Edit: Speaking of which, I just noticed that this was not posted in mudpit so everyone will have to behave themselves. That very well could make this a nothing burger.

To reply to this:

People around him already knew that he was openly a conservative so this would've made zero sense and never would've happened. You'd think this would be obvious, but your 2 lines garnered quite the response from your co-minions.

The OP should've known better than to make a post about a conservative pulling a Jussie Smollett here. Surely he will only get whataboutism replies making his team look bad compared to your team. Y'all people seem to really enjoy doing this keyboard fight stuff so the ends justify the means.

Throw the book at this moron. I have zero sympathy for assholes committing fraud by blaming people uninvolved.
Idiot. Now he gets five years, he may be lucky and get 7 months off.

Is there a related thread of the original incident on ATS?

I think your more upset that we do not defend this behavior. You can keep trying to bait someone though , its already giving me a laugh. That should count for something, right?

You would think it does but not on ATS. I knew the Smollet thing was hinky from the jump. I personally thought it was a grindr date gone bad so he made the story up.
But because I don't tow the conservative narrative it's constantly used as a rebuttal in posts I disagree with, as if I supported or believed him. Same with the riots. I've always posted that violence isn't ever the answer and again I'm always called a supporter of them.

It's just the way ATS works. I was even accused of having an ulterior motive by stating if Hunter Biden is charged and convicted of a crime or multiple crimes,so be it. I won't defend him. I'm not sure what those ulterior motives would be, but I guess if you don't follow every talking point put out by your favored political party ATS is unsure how to react.

As to this topic, if people are stupid enough to try this bs, they deserve what they get. I see many claims made by both sides that don't pass the sniff test with me.

In some circles they would call him an "entrepreneur"

when Jussie faked racist bull# with somalians or nigerian people or whatever he got a vice presidential 3 gay thumbs up and was still found guilty and no one batted an eye, because of that perhaps this crazy person saw opportunity and wanted to throw his hat in the ringer. His problem, he didn't dig deep enough into the Smollet wallet to hoax the world all the way up and down from the white house to the rayciss streets of chicago.

Entrepreneur, succeed and fail everyday
