Poem Phones
Years ago, homes had one Connected to the wall
Only use was to make or answer a call,
That was all
If you weren’t home, it was
Keeping a message for your return
As you were out doing whatever you yearned, to do, no distractions from the people that wanted to get a hold, of you, so they could discuss,
congratulate, talk or say I ,love you
Obviously now a few things have changed,
talk, text, pictures, video games
Heads down knowledge up yet the social skills
People lack for reals
Most people claim they want to use it less, but then need to do something and it’s the key to success
Google search, gps, calculator
Someone calls and you automatic text I’ll call you later
Start a movie, but five minutes in, on your phone again, hold on just one min...it
is so sad to see how the technological dependency, is starting to completely begin the uthinization of each and every youth in our nation
Easier just to send a text rather than talk to somebody across the room, at least then I know my question or statement no matter how it is stated will
get eye contact
Selfie sticks, I mean I’m all for capturing the perfect pix,
but when every five feet or so
you strike a pose
hoping to show
each and every person you know something that you really didn’t get to see yourself
Phones are good for updating you on the news, uber, banking, videos with the most views,
Facebook, insta, email, Snapchat, what did people do before they had all that
Talked face to face with no interruption
Drove in a car with a map for directions
Lived in the moment, lived in the now
Went somewhere cool and just looked around
Every now and again you should check yourself
Grab your phone, then put it on the shelf
Walk away, don’t think twice
Do something fun or something nice
I hope that you will take this advice
Put away your mobile device
