Dr. Paul Saladino is a board- certified M.D. and a proponent of the carnivore diet. On his website, he states that He has used this diet to reverse autoimmunity, chronic inflammation and mental health issues in hundreds of patients, many of whom had been told their conditions were untreatable.

I think this video is hilarious and sad at the same time. It's sad that they serve this garbage at a hospital.
He's visiting the University of Arizona Hospital cafeteria, ranting all the while that it's as bad as a convenience store. Soda pop, energy drinks, candy, potato chips, doughnuts....

What is this? 7-11?

We have enough trouble affording quality healthcare without diverting excess profits from the salaries of underachieving professionals to the pantries of their nutritionally challenged patients. Natural vitamins and antioxidants are reserved for useful servants who contribute to the administration, not the infirm whose sole purpose is to die quietly and pour tens of thousands into the economy for the privilege.

Here in the UK, hospital food is notoriously horrible. It's worse than school food which was bad. I had to get my own food brought in when possible when I was an inpatient. One time, I asked for some fresh fruit, and they brought back a chemical shake and said that was the closest thing they had to it. I was not impressed. I refused to drink it, there was no way those chemicals were going in body.

Ask for a Halal diet. Religious reasons and all that.

Not my experience.

In June I was in hospital for 7 days.

Food was great.

Fresh fruit too.

This was our NHS.

Recently spent three days in the hospital myself, here in the US. The food was great.

Hospital food here in the U.K. has improved 10 fold over the last few years.

I loved it.

Murdered a Chinese takeaway when I got out, though.

So I see

I work in a hospital

When a patient rings the bell on our oncology ward, they seem less than horrified by the doctors or treatment they have recieved.

You seem to think that hospitals/certain medical staff 'care' about their patients.
IMO it's big business, and they literally feed into each other .
They want us sick and unhealthy $$$$

Our NHS is free?

You just insulted an awful lot of hard working caring Health Workers.

What the Hell is wrong with you?

Fresh vegetables: That somehow grow out of the ground but farmers are claiming they are going broke in the process.
Milk
Eggs
Butter
?

You can't eat cheaply and healthily.
