When I used to work nightshift, ten hour shift, I usually only got three or four hours of sleep and did alright. But then on the weekend, I would
sleep twelve hours one night and maybe eight the second, and I did not go downhill too bad. You need to get that one long sleep at night to keep up
at least once every seven days or maybe a tad bit more.
When I was young I seemed to only get about five hours a night of sleep because of work and partying. But again, I needed one make up long night of
sleep at least once a week too. I can't seem to do well with just five hours of sleep anymore for more than two days, I get worn out now, two good
nights of sleep and I am up and active again though. Six to seven hours is my usually regular needed sleep these days, I have always liked six to
seven hours...I work best that way.
