Scientists have discovered that a prehistoric shark with paired spines and bony armor may have been an early ancestor of humans. The Paleozoic fossil was found at a location in Guizhou Province.

Named after the Fanjingshan UNESCO World Heritage Site, the specimen is known as Fanjingshania renovata. It is a strange fish unlike anything living today with paired spines and bony armor.

Fanjingshania renovata is especially uncommon since the characteristics of its bones are more typical of bony fish or other creatures. It comes from a class of animals ordinarily distinguished not by bones but instead by cartilage.

"This level of hard tissue modification is unprecedented in chondrichthyans, a group that includes modern cartilaginous fish and their extinct ancestors," said lead author Dr Plamen Andreev, a researcher at Qujing Normal University. "It speaks about greater than currently understood developmental plasticity of the mineralized skeleton at the onset of jawed fish diversification."

This is so funny....how atheist scientists push their weak theories concerning man in an attempt to remove the creator from science and from man's mind.

I was made in the image of God, not a monkey or any other animal.

Wait I thought we came from monkeys.

Now we come from sharks ?

So when Brody killed jaws. That coulda been a long lost relative ?

Say it aint so.

It's a great article.
This shows how jawed fish must of evolved, before venturing onto land and it does have a similar look to Tiktaalik roseae, give a million years or so!

I was made in the image of God

That always peaked my curiosity. Why would any God that is all knowing need the other 5 senses?

Why would he display reproductive organs?

What does he use to shave or cut his hair or clip his nails?

Who is his tailor?

That is so cool.

The evolutionary development of pretty much all current species is fascinating.

From what I remember from biology in college, is that all life evolved from the seas. Which slowly evolved into mammals, reptiles etc

Never sat right with me.

Sure, I get evolution on a long time scale, but fish out of water don't have that long.

A pond dries up, the fish die.

But that's just me.

Shouldn’t we be able to grow teeth as needed if we were some “evolved” species of shark?

Shouldn't we have evolved to have frickin lasers, too?

Yes.

How did they evolve?

The same way everything else did. Adaptation to the environment through mutation over time.

The only possible thing 'scientists' can actually claim is that they found the remains of what appears to be a shark.
It lived.
It died.
That about sums it up, unless an agenda is being pushed.
Then they can claim all sorts of things to keep the funds coming in.
Unbiased science is dead.
"Scientists", like politicians, are bought and paid for.

I think the notion of evolution is a simptom of what is really going on
with human beings.

Degenerative mental decline.

Unlike evolution you can actually see it happening,

Scientists the Mainstream scientists where they still believe that Humans evolved from Fish than to ape monkey and than human form of evolution.

Which scientists to this day still cant confirm how exactly fish evolved from fish to ape/monkey

You got it wrong.
First it was from Fish to Monkeys then in the past few decades we evolved from Homo sapiens to Humans yet they fail to explain in better detail.
