OK, I'll have a look at that Twitter thread, although I don't like Twitter.

After looking through the Twitter posts (I think I read them all, I hate their stupid format) I didn't find any mention of an attempt at reproducing the effect.

Seeing that you do not have the phone that recorded this video anymore and, as a consequence, you are not in a position of trying to make a test to see how a known light looks, I don't think this case can be considered more than just some inconclusive light in the sky.

Too bad you didn't think about doing a test at the time to rule out camera/lens artefacts, as it sure looks like one to me.

You really think I decided to film a light in the sky for no reason ? Even if I had the phone I wouldn't be able to replicate it since I haven't seen anything like it since last year. I've seen these orb UFOs many times over the span of many years. I tried pointing the camera at a moving airplane and a star and could not replicate it.

No, but I see you made some baseless assumptions, like the altitude of the light, which are always a bad sign.

You haven't seen any light? It doesn't need to have the same exact apparent characteristics for it to be used in an experiment.

Unidentified lights in the sky are unidentified lights in the sky. Any of those had any unusual characteristics?

The same phone camera with the same telephoto lens used in this video?

I guessed the altitude by basing it off the height of a bridge I live nearby. It seems to me you might think this is fake in some way. It is not.

Yes I tried taking pictures of a moving airplane and a star not video. My primary focus is the picture I took not the video which isn't 100% in focus cause I don't have access to expensive equipment.

I tried my best to record this don't know what else to say.

I'm not thinking this was faked, what I think is that it's impossible to know the height of an object without knowing either its distance or its size

What I was thinking about also applies to photos.
On the Twitter post you say you took a lot of photos, are they available online?

And you didn't answer my question, did you tried it with the same camera and lens?
I know not everybody has access to top of range equipment, I'm in the same or similar situation.

First of all, don't worry about it.

You did what you thought was best at the time with what you had, I only wanted to know more details.

I only held onto a few photos since most of them were the same. The one right before the picture in question was the same cept the top half had nothing in it. I have a nikon p1000 next time I see something I'll record better for sure.

That's a shame, as with several photos that appear to look the same it's possible to create a higher resolution image or to change the brightness in more subtle ways.

And you still didn't answer my question: were the tests done with the same camera and telephoto lens?

There isn't a lot to go with is there? but yes you have to tick through all the mundane possibilities before we can say that's an alien/UFO. Right now to me, it's inconclusive at best.
