So it kind of goes like this, you are moderate one way or another and you do some searches and what you click on to read is recorded as an interest of yours and these tools start to build a model of what it thinks you want. Over a period of time if you are left you start to see more left leaning articles, and same with right that sees more right leaning.

Well, I'm probably marking myself for posting this but the simple mention / flooded with ads thing is well known. But what gets me is that there's no search, to mentioning it near a phone, no reading about it but simply THINKING it results in the same number of targeted ads.
That, to my thinking, means that we can throw out the AI theory and jump right to reality as a construct because if merely thinking something triggers the results then unless this AI is powerful enough to read my thoughts, something else is going on. Or maybe my brain is sooo powerful it radiates my thoughts. :/

Why do you think the news sticks to 1 sole agenda at a time? its to reinforce the memories again and again then they can move on and many people now are saying these things for the manipulators.
Also you can just introduce bots due to people being trained to be used to twitter like communications of 120 words or whatever it is, so with such a small amount of text you can use databases of things people have said and just get bots to say those things, it can be hard to discern the difference. Then it makes it seem like lots of people are agreeing or disagreeing, plus if it sounds stupid it just makes people think that its humans being that stupid which divides them even more.

So true X. And this has been happening for a while now. I see only extraordinary acts of will to break these cycles, these feedback loops. This AI preys upon our natural mental inclination to make order of the world around us. Find one thing that helps and that leads to another and another until we build these mental edifices that we end up believing is the way things are, when in reality it's only a limited scope of reality. AI feeds upon this and it will take some doing to fight against it.

Kind of puts you in the Matrix...

While this may be the case as regards AI controlling our internet searches, the plasticity of the human mind to be led along certain avenues of thought goes back much farther.
I personal think that Algorithms and Friend/Foe AL is driving Americans to one extreme or the other. Now, this isn't truly nefarious in nature (maybe) as much as these tools are working to give you what IT thinks you want. So it kind of goes like this, you are moderate one way or another and you do some searches and what you click on to read is recorded as an interest of yours and these tools start to build a model of what it thinks you want. Over a period of time if you are left you start to see more left leaning articles, and same with right that sees more right leaning. Then the FF AI kicks in and if you are leaning left not only do you see all left focused articles, but you start to see only positive left articles and negative right articles as to what the FF AI is designed to do, left is Friend and Right is Foe. Do this for 8 years and you can see how we got to the mess we are at today.
A 12-year-old schoolgirl who killed herself was “emotionally overwhelmed” and influenced by her intense use of social media, a coroner has said.
Jessica Scatterson, from Dallam in Warrington, was discovered in her bedroom, surrounded by soft toys and with “RIP” written on her heel, two days before her 13th birthday in April 2017.
She was allegedly bullied at school and struggled to cope with the pressures of social media, an inquest heard.
Recording a verdict of suicide, the senior coroner for Cheshire, Alan Moore, said: “It is clear to me that Jessica must have felt emotionally overwhelmed at the time she took her own life. The level and the intensity of her activity on social media platforms, particularly in the buildup to her death, cannot have failed to have influenced her thinking, her state of mind.”
The children’s commissioner for England has accused social media companies such as Facebook and Snapchat of losing control of the content carried on their platforms, telling them that recent teen suicides should be a “moment of reflection” for the way they operate.
In an open letter to Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, Pinterest and Snapchat, Anne Longfield said the suicide of 14-year-old Molly Russell has highlighted the “horrific” material that children were able to easily access online.
“The recent tragic cases of young people who had accessed and drawn from sites that post deeply troubling content around suicide and self-harm, and who in the end took their own lives, should be a moment of reflection,” Longfield told the companies.
“I would appeal to you to accept there are problems and to commit to tackling them – or admit publicly that you are unable to.”

I would say that anyone with a mobile device or social media are being seriously manipulated by these algorithms. I won't use social media other than ATS (if you can call it that). I only sign into youtube for movie or game trailers as is needed for age verification.
But ATS is now full of people posting bitchute and youtube videos which are mostly opinion pieces, and I've notice after a day or two on here if I go to watch a trailer, the youtube main page is full of subjects of what ever I've watched here. I can see how fragile minds can be carried along on a surge of overwhelming doom porn.
